A. Lange & Sohne 101.031 wrist watches news:
Brought together through everything from a shared passion for technique to a common consumer base, watch and car manufacturers have a long history of joining forces. While it seems that every notable watchmaker has allied itself with a top automobile brand, one of today¡¯s most visible partnerships is that between Hublot and Ferrari. With shared attributes ranging from technology and design to quality and precision, the two international luxury houses continue to build off of each other through a comprehensive agreement which covers everything from branding to marketing and communications initiatives. As the ¡°Official Watch¡± and ¡°Official Timekeeper¡± of both Ferrari and Scuderia Ferrari as well as the ¡°Official Watch¡± of the Ferrari Challenge, Hublot has capitalized upon its position as exclusive watch making partner of the legendary car company to create several ground breaking timepieces - including the record breaking Masterpiece MP-05 LaFerrari released this year at Baselworld. So, I am reading up on classic American watches and come across a section on the "Character" watches for kids.Hummmm, I was a kid.I go searching through a bunch of old boxes and lo and behold...My original Mickey, Snoopy and a couple others I must have traded a yo-yo for. There is one with the original box (how it is still there, don't ask?)1971, "Bradley Time, A division of ELGIN!"Pretty cool huh?Anybody else have some of these around?
I have a Hamilton pocket watch that was given me by my grandfather many years ago. The serial number of the movement (382582) I think indicates it was manufactured in 1904 or 1905.I accidentally broke off the filigree on the back of the minute hand (I had forgotten how to adjust the time and tried to do it by moving the hand manually - very bad idea!). I took it to a jeweler to have the hand replaced and because he could not duplicate the fancy filigree of the originals, he put "plain-Jane" hands in place of them. Another bad idea. I should have at least made him put the original hands back.Anyway, I have not been able to find anyone that has these hands, and several jewelers I have taken the watch to for rel=placement hands have not been helpful. These were black hands and very beautiful and I would like to get replacements, if at all possible. I haven't even been able to find a Hamilton watch that had these kind of hands to show what thery looked like.Does anyone have any sugge
I guess I didn't leave much for the comment section - the title asks it all!
My calatrava....
