Audemars Piguet 66798BA.ZZ.D001CR.01 REFERENZUHR wrist watches news:
I do not think that this double image of mark on the dial approach is going to last forever, but at least in the short term that the two names will be there. Why? Because consumers will get very confusing and because the name of Gerald Genta is always something for the people - often more than the name Bulgari. In fact, I suspect that the name is there to help add to the value of the watch - more that it would have the spirit of consumers that just label Bulgari.La shows is steel and 43 mm wide and 100 meters water resistant.
Hi Everyone, I have not given my husband his YM yet, and probably won't for a while yet. But, I was reading somewhere about having to add extra links to the bracelet for bigger guys. The watch is not anywhere close where I can measure it. What size does the watch come and how do I order more links if I need to ahead of time? i don't want to give it to him and then make him wait for it to be sized. He is a big man (to me) 6'1 and 205lbs. Although I guess all that matters is the wrist sizeThanks, Rebecca
I'm a vintage guy through and through and I can't imagine buying a "modern" watch. My youngest watch is an early 1970's model.Today I was wearing the most valuable watch in my collection, a 1930-1931 Hamilton Cambridge in 14K yellow gold. Only 209 were manufactured in yellow (357 in 14K white), and based on models of similar vintage and production numbers, I believe it could sell (not that I ever would) for approx. $5100. It made me wonder what other wristwatches could be had for this amount of money. So I throw the question out to this community: what would you spend $5000 on? New or vintage, doesn't matter. If this topic has come up before, post a link and ignore this.
What I started as the 'My problem' thread will be continued as 'Objects of desire'. I know this is all purely materialistic but please allow me this indulgence. The first object was a 1973 Gios Torino racing bike with full GT engraving. The second object is a Minimoog D series
On the fence here. Need to send my U serial 16570 Polar in for a service. Generally will not do polish/refinish, just the movement. My guy who I have used before and trust quoted me $575 for the movement overhaul and 2 year warranty. He is only 120 miles from me, so I can drop off and pick up which saves the cost and hassle of shipping. In the past this would be a no brainer, but the forum has me guessing a little as so many seem to support using RSC.Watch is really only worth $3-4K so once this is done I will have much more into her than she is worth.Curious as to what others might chose.
