B.R.M V12-44-GT-CIT-AG wrist watches news:
WatchTime and noted watch collector and expert Jeff Kingston have teamed up again for the 2014 edition of the popular ¡°Inside Basel.Geneva¡± series of collector events, kicking off tomorrow night, September 5, in Chicago. Among the core sponsoring watch brands is Breguet, which will showcase its Breguet Classique Tourbillon Extra-Plat Automatique 5377 at the events. The Breguet Classique Tourbillon Extra-Plat Automatique 5377, which the brand says is the world’s thinnest self-winding tourbillon watch, comes in either a platinum or rose-gold case that measures 42 mm in diameter and an astoundingly slender 7 mm thick. Its movement, manufacture Caliber 581DR, is only 3 mm thick. The off-centered tourbillon carriage is made of titanium and protected by a number of patents. The movement is also fitted with a non-magnetic silicon balance spring and an escapement made of silicon and a special non-magnetic steel. Also notable are the movement’s ¡°high energy¡± barrel, which provides a
You have to hand it to JEANRICHARD. ?When most brands introduce a variant of existing models, there's not much to tell the models apart other than a suffix on the model reference number. ?With their three newest watches, they've come up with a name for the, well, sub-collection: ?Nocturnal Adventures. This new group of watches features two variants of their Terrascope, and one of the 1681. ?What makes these watches different from their predecessors is the fact that they are predominantly black - black dials, black cases, black straps. ?This is also, of course, where the first part of the name from the group comes from; the second part just being that JEANRICHARD intends their watches to be ready for sport adventures. We'll start with the Terrascope models, as these are likely the most familiar style from JR for many. ?These share the same 44mm case and overall styling that we've come to know and love from the Terrascope line. ?Where they branch off is with their finishing. The first one (
This is one of the most difficult watch to snap photos. I try my best here. Hope you will enjoy. ( John H: You would do a much better job, but wrong timing for me.) Magellan 1521 Northern Hemisphere Swiss WatchI am privileged and delighted to be able to handle a very unique timepiece ¨C the Magellan 1521 Northern Hemisphere Stainless Steel watch. At first glance, the shape reminded me of a Swatch I lost 9 years ago, the Fifth Element. When I first open the box, I am already impressed with the quality of the watch box. Heavy, lacquered and glossed, when I open the box, the aroma of the leather watch pillow just mesmerized me. Removing the watch together with the watch pillow, I held the Magellan watch for the first time, I can only say ¡®Wow ¨C a fine masterpiece of art.¡¯ The sapphire crystal is like a window into a wonderland. The wonderland in Magellan 1521 is in the dial itself. The sapphire glass, uniquely spherical in shape, is anti-reflective and scratch-resistant, to allow the disce

Sorry for the long story I just needed to vent tonight. So... I took my 116710LN GMT into RSC New York to get fixed because an atrocity was done by an independent watch maker (scratched dial due to incorrect hand setting, smudged dial and scratched hands). In hind sight completely my fault. Should have gone to Rolex directly. First I was $500 deep with independent and Rolex... $1,400 for new dial and hands and basic service costs. In late January I drop the watch off at RSC. After waiting what felt like an eternity they ship it to me finally. And after a couple of weeks of wear something didn't feel right I look closer and inspect and there was a weird splotch on the GMT hand. Now the month of May, I drive in the city and they tell me they are sorry they will fix it for free. Now it is July I take the train in to pick it up instead of them ship it. Within 30 seconds of receiving the watch I wipe it down with their branded cleaning clothe and I look at the crystal and there is a smudge
