Hi, finally and after a month or so, I could regulate my SKX007J4 by myself. I put the gasket on the back, lubricated it and closed firmly the caseback. I was happy and thought everything was fine until I checked the crystal and noticed a tiny dust particle on the inner side of the crystal, near the date windowThe dust particle is white and even though it is not visible unless in close inspection, it annoys me everytime I check the timeI opened the caseback again and removed the crown in order to take the movement off and clean the crystal from inside, but I don't know how to remove the movement with the black plastic spacer. Should I pull it up gently grabbing it from the spacer? I see no screws attached to the inner case nor in the pics I've checked. What can I do???
IMO, very nice original dial and very good case. It should arrive Monday.
I have always been a fan of fine timepieces but could never really afford to start a collection. Finally, I have a few extra bucks. I thought I would try and stay in the sub $1000 range to find what I really like in a watch. I have a Tissot PRC200 and a Magarette on the way. Considering a Lum-tec (need a tough, sporty watch) and a Hamilton. I think that will give me a nice starting base without breaking the bank. Then, I can go from there. Any advice is appreciated. Brands, styles, where to shop, etc...Thanks in advance.
Atlanta Dave sent me our Forum "Gnome" :DMeet (from L-R) MukMuk, Sumi, Quatchi, Miga :DMorning view from my office tower. I believe this is the First Nations Ceremonial Complex.Early morning shot (7:30) of the "Live City" complex. Ummm, I will await final completion in about 3 days. Because this installation cost $10 million!? Looking East. Opening Ceremonies begins this Friday. My wife went to the dress rehearsal yesterday and said. "Not likely to top Chinas opening ceremonies!!" BC Place Stadium. And a whole slew of closed off areas down by the water. This is where we usually hold the PPG Indy car racing (several years ago). Lots of music, wine, beer, eats all down by the water. It's closed off now, so I have to wait until the weekend to get down to street level.Mascot is going for a walk to the OMEGA countdown clock later on today.
