Baselworld 2014 is almost upon us, and I have continued to preview new watches and cover other news on my blog, Watch-Insider. This week Patek Philippe, one of Baselworld’s most popular exhibitors, announced that it will be debuting an all-new booth at the fair.Patek Philippe describes the new space as “An innovative, functional and futuristic booth to illustrate the brand¡¯s core values, showcase its products in a modern yet timeless environment, and provide a functional yet traditional work space.”All the showcases are visible to the public from the outside, creating a surprise with the presentation of all (!) the Patek Philippe collections ¡ª namely 198 timepieces in total? ¡ª including a special focus on new watches. An innovative showcase dedicated to movements presents 50 different calibers with detailed information on screen. There will also be visuals and films devoted to the new collections.Detailed info on the new Patek Philippe Baselworld booth, from PatekR
I think to buy this onewhat is your opinions?Maybe some owners could tell me how good is this watch in use (accuracy, built quality, etc)?
Things have been quiet, as I save up for something a bit special from 1929. But I could not resist this:Remember the 1926 silver Longines?well I think this is as pretty, bordering on spectacular.1915 Oval Shaped WW1 period Silver Military Trench Watch.
Hey Guys -Thought I share a picture of a used SuperOcean I picked up.
Hi All -Delighted to have joined the forum, I'm in the US and am planning out my first Rolex purchase - It will be for daily wear and I've fallen in love with the GMT Master II LN. I am currently in the process of sourcing one pre-owned. My watch dealer (who I trust explicitly and have purchased a number of non-Rolex watches) has a nice example with box and papers, its a G serial (2010) but the papers were stamped end-2012. It has not had a service. He is offering it at a fair price but has also told me that if I wait and another watch comes in post-2015 with the 5yr international warranty he would sell it to me for the same price. So my questions are:1. I'm assuming nothing has changed between 2010-present with this watch? 2. I'm in no rush, should I wait for a newer example to come up or just go for this one? The 5y Warranty is a consideration but more importantly if I decide to trade it because it doesn't agree with me as a daily wear watch, would I be better served value-wise with
