Bell & Ross BR 02-92 Steel wrist watches news:
Fan of high-end quartz watches? Breitling has a nice new piece for you. What is high-end quartz? Well not cheap quartz! The perception that all quartz watches are cheap is a bit of a shame. It is true that you can buy a quartz movement based watch for a few bucks, but high-end quartz watches are out there - and they have their fan following for sure. Breitling is one of the few Swiss brands that continually offers high-end Swiss quartz movement based timepieces in addition to mechanical watches (and not just in women's pieces). The mainstay of the Breitling quartz watch collection has always been their Aerospace watches. Those pieces are undeniably cool, but not everyone wants both analog hands and a digital display on their watch dial. So Breitling has always offered watches like this new Colt that are quartz movement based, but not digital.I am not an expert of Breitling watch collections - though my understanding is that the Colt line has not always been about quartz movements. This is the new limited edition Oris sub seconds diver made to help out the Great Barrier Reef. Each watch that is sold will have Oris donating 50 Swiss Francs (that's it?) to the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS). Didn't anyone tell Oris they don't use Swiss Francs in Australia! I joke! The money will go to help keep creatures in the Great Barrier Reef alive. Basically, there are a lot of serious issues with the reef and rather than help preserve certain areas, the project is going to relocate animals. A brave endeavor indeed. "Little fish! Sign these papers, you don't live here anymore." Now get out of herewe are gonna take you to a better placeYea, a much better place (chuckle)."The back 0f the watch doesn't have an engraving, but rather a special plate to honor each of the 1000 pieces in the limited edition set. The colors of the watch are done in ocean blue and a high contrasting orange. It makes for a neat look, and a very easy to read dial. You can see for yourself.
I have just had the opportunity to pick up this vintage Constellation. The owner claims it is all original and has just had a service. What do you guys think? Is the dial all original? Is the case unpolished? Are all of the parts correct? And if possible, what would be a good ballpark price? Thank you!
I'm in need of a second hand pinon for a cal 89 movement. Would anyone know where I might locate one?
I just got my beloved SS Daytona 116520 back from RSC. It took about 4 weeks and cost $1,000 to Rolex and $122 to my AD for shipping/ insurance. My AD in ATL (Brown & Co.) sent it to the RSC in Pennsylvania, where they say they consistently get the best service and turn-around time.It had the usual scratches and wear and tear, and the Chrono feature had stopped working reliably. It required no new parts other than the ones they ALWAYS replace: mainspring and gaskets. Looks absolutely brand new, I couldn't be happier! It came back with all the following:-Green Rolex velvet snap pouch-2 year Rolex warrantee card and letter-Letter of replacement value from Rolex, which states it would be replaced with the Ceramic bezel version, good for insurance-White Rolex microfiber cleaning cloth-Booklet on worldwide Rolex service-Form to include for next serviceReally first class!JCATT
