Hello from a watch newbie
Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. David from Memphis TN.I've been reading over the different post here for a week or two now and decided to sign up and say thanks.....thanks for all the interesting information everyone has shared.I would'nt call my self a watch collector, I only have five and none very expensive. I have a Citizen Eco drive, three Nike sport watches a couple are pretty cool but not what I think a serious watch enthusiast would get excited about, a couple weeks ago I picked up a Swiss Army, base camp model, (my current favorite).Not sure why watches interest me, the inner workings are all foriegn to me, I just look at a watch and like the way it looks or not, but I'm finding the more I read here the more I'm becoming interested in "quality" watches as oppossed to "fashion type watches" I find myself leaning towards cleaner lines, less digital Hi tech watches that I can sinc into to my iphone, and such.I've been an avid collector and smoker of fine cigars for y

was recently up to south coast plaza, in irvine california. visited the boutique watch stores there.. NICE! piaget has a boutique store, along with rolexx.. also movado .. didnt know that movado makes alot of automatic watches, chronos too.. the tourneau store there had a fair amt of breitlings.. of course they also carry IWC and longines, and audemars....didnt make it into the rolex boutique they had five of the hungriest salesman in suits I ever saw they had poles with hooks on them to get customers in ..

Taking more than 1 AP into the US?
Does anyone know if there are issues if you took more than 1 AP into the US? I've only just started collecting AP and will shortly be going to the US and would like to take some with me.I know with Rolex this is a no no and customs have the right to stop you from carrying more than 1 Rolex into the US if they catch you.
