hello!I'll be buying myself a new omega watch as a birthday present. It's a choice between the omega seamaster 300 chronometer 212.30.41.20.01.002 and the planet ocean 2201.50.00. Both have the same features except the 600m depth of the PO. But I am not a diver so it doesn't matter to me. What do you guys suggest?

A bittersweet day
Well, I took a little ride today to meet a fellow forum member. He is now the happy owner of his (not my anymore ) Maurice LaCroix Masterpiece LE Open Heart.Bye, it was nice to have you grace my watchbox. Enjoy it Dom!I also boxed up the 1947 IWC and sent it to another forum member for one of his relatives.Christiaan, I know your uncle will like this classic!I've sold a few other vintage pieces recently, one to another forum member (man, we may have a club of members who've bought watches flipped by sharky, DarkHeart, and me ) and a couple on eBay. They were tough to let go, but these things have to be done to make way for a grail! I look at it like baseball - you have to trade away some proven talent and prospects to add an ace to the staff. I also made a resolution to have less watches at the end of the year. Alright, enough blathering - on to the good part!I've narrowed my search down to 2 watches. Duty fees when buying a watch duty free at airport and bringing back to US?
I'm planning on finally pulling the trigger and buying a new Rolex GMT 2. I live in California which has a fairly high sales tax rate of about 8.5%. I'm thinking of either buying the watch in another state and seeing if they will ship it to me without charging sales tax, or buying the watch at an airport duty free and then bringing it back into the U.S. I travel a lot and I'm thinking of maybe going through Schipol in Amsterdam to buy the watch.My question is does anybody have an idea what the duty would be when bringing it back into the U.S.? I've done a lot of research but haven't been able to find a reliable answer. I know most people say to just ship the box and then wear it on your wrist and don't declare it. It's not worth the risk for me. Knowing my luck, they would catch me and I don't want that on my record so I'm searched overtime I enter the country.Thanks for any help!
