- The leather band was so , way too for any adult. Could possibly fit a child or pre teen. I have to return this and now buy something else as this was a Christmas gift. This must have been a defective lot of watches.

- I purchase this duct as a gift. It is a very classic watch with genuine leather straps and it is water resistant. I highly recommend this duct.

Bell & Ross BRG123-BL-ST/SCR wrist watches news:
Image above - Copyright © Patek Philippe SA, Geneva, Switzerland, for nonprofit educational purposes only. How important is Geneva Seal to you ??Before I tell you my opinion, I would like to hear what you think? This is a subject that comes out quite often across various watch forums, but the recent development and rumors provoke this question once again. As I am sure some of you heard - it is possible that after decades of usage ofPoinçon de Genève, Patek Philippe could consider dropping it altogether ormaybe develop its own standard. These are my (pretty simplistic) thoughts.Few years ago I was pretty impressed with COSC (chronometer) certification. The entire testing process takes 15 days, and the watches are tested in five positions. The watches are tested as movement only, and do not come with hands or anything. Automatic movements have the rotors detached during testing and three temperatures are tested as well. 23 Degrees Celsius is the main temperature test
Sorry for a second post so soon. If the Mods want to delete my original thread, please do so.I love this watch, I now love Quartz. According to the spec sheet, the JSAR (Jumbo Search and Rescue) was commissioned in November of 2007 for the Canadian Coast Guard, and the NASA Search and Recovery Team. It arrived in a very government-esque white cardboard box that was printed with the words, Wrist, Watch. By far, the worst packaging on the face of the earth. The watch itself is utterly indestructable in appearance. 46.6MM, 18MM thick, with a 3MM thick Sapphire crystal. 120 click bezel with zero play. 22MM lugs with a natural rubber, plain strap. The Movement is listed as a Swiss ISA 16 Jewel, High-Torque Quartz. I don't know what a high torque quartz movement is, but I will tell you what it does......The second hand moves from hash mark to hash mark with such deliberate authority it has to be seen to be explained. I have several quartz watches, and they all have that looseness
Well, I finally bit the bullet & took my Tag Diver to the AD today to leave it with them for some work. It's been 12 years without any service so it's well overdue for an overhaul. 4-6 weeks to get this done (as quoted by the AD):New mineral crystal glass (I actually thought it was sapphire, but obviously not).Dismantle movement completely.Chemically clean movement, inspect and replace necessary parts.Dismantle, clean and polish case and bracelet (bracelet is brand new original item last September so shouldn't need anything done. Case has a couple of medium scratches - bet they don't make much effort to fix them...).Reassemble movement, (whew, and I thought they'd just give me a box of parts back) lubricate and adjust.Adjust escapement and regulate.Replace all gaskets, perform vacuum and pressure tests. For the grand total of $495NZD ($392USD).I will post pics of this when it gets back.I can't help but think of all the lovely watches I could have bought for the cost of this service.
I was watching Pawn Stars last night and Corey was wearing the new 44mm ROO chrono in SS with the ceramic bezel white dial. Man I love that watch. I put a down payment on one a week ago. This next month or two is going to be a killer waiting to get it. Did anyone else see it?
So here it goes. I am thinking of selling my Panerai 088 as I don't wear it much and I have been secretly admiring two other watches. One is the almighty 372, and the other more recently as I tried it on at my local AD is the Rolex Explorer ll polar( white face). I had no idea that the Polar was going to sing to me the way it did. So, I am about to sell my 088 to a friendof mine and I am torn on which to buy. If I buy the Rolex I can buy it here in my hometown from the AD with a discount as a repeat customer. If I decide on the 372, well I have to buy from one of our TRF trusted sellers or from Watchuwant based in Miami which I will be visiting in a couple of weeks and stress myself out with smuggling my Panerai across the US/Canada border. What do I get? Regardless, I will have both by the end of the calendar year as I have a sickness like most of you and won't sleep until I have both!
