Breitling Steel wrist watches news:
If you've been watching the news, you'll know that earlier today Russian President Vladimir Putin declared Crimea a part of Russia in a ceremony at the Kremlin. After a speech in front of parliamentarians and various regional governors, Putin sat down with leaders from the peninsula and signed a draft treaty annexing Crimea. We couldn't help but notice that there was a watch prominently displayed on his wrist. After a little research we deduced that Putin was wearing the Blancpain Grande Date Aqua Lung, a limited edition from nearly a decade ago. 2 OF 2 The Grande Date Aqua Lung is a special edition watch from the Léman collection. Here Putin is wearing the stainless steel version, though there was also an edition in rose gold. The case is 40mm and relatively slim at 11.4mm, which is why it slides under a suit cuff so easily. The styling harkens back to vintage Blancpain dive watches, but with the addition of the panoramic date complication at 6 o'
Hey Y'all As you know, The BoZkoE has a poll up in BoZkoEviLLe on favourite brands. We're running the Cheeselanders close but are waaaay ahead of the udders. Then I looked into another place where I occasionally make an appearance and the voting is quite different. It's a UK-based site. So I was wondering if places making differences in cultures also make for variations in choices. This isn't a conclusive study but I'm going to mimic a poll from elsewhere in which the original poster asked members to help him choose between a Speedy Pro and a PO. Yes they are quite different watches but I was myself once faced with this minor set of crossroads until of course I decided to write up about the Speedy in the ole' house. I'd say that when WTF first started we were more diver-orientated but with new members here it would be interesting to see how we vote now .....Hope you're game for this lil' exercise pals Oh and please remember do tell why too. After all here, the talking never stops Y'all
Alot of you guys know I like and collect vintage watches, Benrus mainly, but I don't have any electric watch's in my collection. I'd like to change that and add a couple, but I don't know much about them, so I have a few questions. Are the batteries the same as a quartz and if they are different, are they still available?Does the second hand tick like a quartz, or does it move smoothly like an electric clock? Are they accurate and reliable? Can most any watchmaker repair them? Are parts available? These are just some of the questions I had, but you get the picture. Any other opinions or help on the electric's would be appreciated. Oh, and pictures are always good to!
I have the panda Omega Speedmaster date chrono on a bracelet and am looking for a strap option for it. I like the Cordura strap, but can't find it as an option to buy separately (is this available from somewhere to buy as just the strap?) If not Ive seen some other nylon/kevlar straps, but not sure what size i need to fit...20mm lugs and 18mm buckle? Is this correct?Below is my watch:Thanks in advance
This Saturday... ...Sorry for the belabored incoming, but I just looked back through my old threads and I see I never posted an incoming for the only other Patek I have had, my 5167. I had a super busy day at work - just got home, but I wired the funds today, I'm really looking forward to this one and it's sooo hard to contain my excitement. Thanks in advance to the great forum members and friends here at TRF (you know who you are!). Patek-Philippe-logo.jpgWill keep you posted
