I want to buy a china's brand watch that called SEA-GULL to give my BF,I knew it's very powerful brand in china.but i cannt decided which one is better~ I found them at a website that called dinnel through the recommendation of a friend.i like the three of them:Automatic Watch 219.322-21 $399.00Automatic Watch 819.315-21 $399.00i need help to choose one~
I recently acquired an awesome watch. It's an automatic, and it's by the company named Muji.A Japanese brand, it's a rather interesting watch. 41mm diameter with a push/pull crown. The part I truly enjoy about this watch is the simplicity. The style is apparently based on the school clocks distributed in Japan. What's more interesting is the origin of the movement. It says "Malaysian movement" but I've never heard of that.It reminds me of a Seiko movement. The only real question that bothers me is if it has a date wheel under the face.Because when pulling the crown, there are 2 positions and at position one, if you turn it, it feels like the date is being altered (clicks). Also, when setting the time, the hands turn really quickly, even with the slightest movement.Anywho, if you run across one of these, pick them up. I recommend it highly.Too bad the original strap is really poor in quality (buckle is really nice, though) and it's rather hard to come by outside of Japan.
So over the weekend I was in Vegas for March madness and I got to stop by a watch store in the new city center (forget the name of the shop) that sold a bunch of high-end watches (lots of Breguet). BS'd with one of the watch salesmen and won a bet off my buddy (he bet me that the Breguet tourbillon was under $100k, but he knows nothing about watches, so I politely only bet him $20).Anyway, it got me thinking about the economics of a store like that. Do the salesmen make salaries or commissions? Both the salesmen in there were wearing $20k watches and $3k+ suits, so I was thinking it must be some good money. Also do they outright purchase inventory from the manufacturers, or is it some sort of consignment arrangement? I imagine it could be difficult to carry such an expensive inventory of watches, especially ones that would be difficult to sell since they cost so much. Not thinking about getting into jewelry sales or anything, but I was just curious as to how these shops are structured..
Heard the news while visiting the in-laws family farm; --now at Hm near laptop, & wish to add personal remembrance. Mind harkens back to that Summer when parents were driving us home after my brothers and I spent the previous week at Summer Camp. Sunday evening continued to a sleepless Monday A.M., where we starred upward at the sky wishing, wondering, and wanting to be just like them. Years later a 105.012-65 now affixed upon a JB Champion will make that memory all the more perfect, no less awesome, and one small link to a humble man who exemplified man's longing to the great vastness of the unknown. Rest peacefully, Neil, on your last giant leap destined one day for all mankind. [My favorite Speedy wristshot, COL58]
