The original big watch "The Longines Hour Angle"
There was a thread sometime ago about oversized watches and I made the comment about the original big watch. Well here are few pics and some useless history.Many of you may know this history but this watch was originally designed by Col Charles Lindbergh and produced by Longines after he came back from Paris. It was originally designed in a 47.5mm size for flyers and had an extra strap extension to go over flight jackets and some pilots would strap it to their legs, this was virtually a pocket watch on a wrist strap. For many years the original was copied in smaller versions of the day. It seems about every twenty years Longines has released a version of this watch.
