- This watch is not only practical due to the adjustable watchband, but it is pretty as well. The watch is laden with crystals, giving it a sparkly look. It can be worn dressy or casual.

Breitling C2334021/B879 wrist watches news:
Hello, my name is Scott I am new to this forum and to real watches. After a few years of admiring Hamilton watches from afar I have finally managed to get my hands on one, a Railroad Autochrono. Now, I have always been fascinated with watches and their workings but I know very little about them. I was wondering if anyone could steer me towards books or links that can help me out. I prefer a good book if possible.I am looking for several things. Firstly anything on watches, movements and terminologies as I know very little about this stuff. Apparently my watch has an A07-211 movement, well I have no idea what that means. Secondly I would like to get some history on Hamilton watches. Are there any books out there written on the subject? Any guidance is much appreciated. Thanks very much in advance, Scott
Just got this guy for $10. It runs fine and the dial is pretty clean. Does anyone know is this a Marlin? Or, a Mercury? Something else?I know it's 1950s/60s due to the "waterproof" designation. Also, does anyone know how this type back is removed? Is it meant to be turned/unscrewed via the 4 slots?Or pried off? Thanks!
I've been eyeing this watch for a while and decided to grab it.I've had many of Fred's (Bernhardt Watches) pass through my hands, though I'm sad to say the only watch I never sold was the blue/orange GMT he offers. (I really do miss the orange/red dial C50 that I owned a while back.)And since four hand GMT's are my secret passion, this is keeping my blue/orange company.Again, simplicity makes my heart go pitter patter. The fixed bezel on this watch looks superb. Great watch.
I was wondering if it's possible (I mean, I know it's possible, but is it possible?)to convert a pocket watch into a wrist watch. What would the main difficulties of doing so?I was browsing through some pocket watches on the bay, and found some that I thought would look great as wrist watches. Admittedly, however, I know next to nothing about pocket watches.Has anyone done this?
May I know if this watch is still on retail? I have not seen it anywhere.
