Citizen Attesa ATD53-3011 versus Citizen Exceed EBS74-5103
After reading recent posts in this forum, I've fell in love with the Citizen Attesa ATD53-3011 watch.But now I discovered the equally or slightly more beautiful Citizen Exceed EBS74-5103.When you look at the pictures, the two watches are very much alike, both titanium and both H610 movements - The main difference being that the Exceed is slightly less chunky and double the price of the Attesa!Now I would really love to learn from anyone, who has an idea about differences between the two watches - or just a general knowledge of what distinguishes the Exceed series compared to the Attesa series.CITIZEN ATTESA ATD53-3011:CITIZEN ATTESA ATD53-3011.jpgCITIZEN EXCEED EBS74-5103:CITIZEN EXCEED EBS74-5103.jpg

What¡¯s the big deal about Lume?
Why is there so much importance put on lume. Besides the obvious, it looks cool in photos and for the few of us that are true divers and use it as a tool, it may be important. But other than that, I really don¡¯t see what the big deal is. I have plenty of watches with lots of lume and for the most part, unless I ¡°charge¡± it by holding it in a light, I barely notice it. Some people put such a high importance on it. I personally don¡¯t care one way or the other. Even the watches that I have with the most lume on the dials don¡¯t last but maybe 5 min (I¡¯m just guessing) in a darkened movie theater at full brightness, after walking in from the street.Tell us why lume is important to you.

1941 Bulova President
Picked up a few vintage watches, the first is a Bulova President from 1941. It has not been very well maintained, obviously, but, someone at least serviced the watch a few times in its life by the etchings in the back. The first time was 1945 and the last time was, I think, 1989. The watch winds very smoothly and keeps very good time. It shows marks from someone who didn't know what they were doing that tried to open the back from the side using something with two points. All in all, the watch was screaming to be saved and since Comethunter and ulackfocus weren't around it fell to me. Sorry forgot to take pictures of the movement when I had the back off. I'll take some later.

I was going to keep this on the down low for a while but I am so excited about my new purchase that I can hardly contain myself.Thanks to DavidSW for this magnificent piece. Hand delivered to my folks in Orlando (They got back from a 2 month stay in FL yesterday) and I picked this beauty up last night after work.Count me in on the AP Owners list!If you're wondering what I did before that I did it again, I just bought my first Panerai about a month ago from drgross/dra144. Thanks to my wonderful wife who is soooooooo understanding about my obsessions (watches and cars).
