Breitling A 77387 wrist watches news:
Well, okay that's an exaggeration. I posted in the General forum that I wanted opinions on which watch I should pursue - the Omega PO or a Rolex SD. I didn't post in here in case your views may have been very slightly biased..same in the Rolex forum of course :)Some very interesting views & opinions were expressed for both watches, which didn't really swing my opinion one way or the other.Today I was in the office lunch room when I spied the wrist ornament of one of the other engineers - a 45.5mm PO, 'classic' style with the black bezel and SS bracelet. When I scraped my jaw off the floor, I asked if I might have a look at it. He kindly obliged, and before you could say seyonara G-shock, it was on my wrist - and it looked GREAT!! To be fair I haven't worn a Seadweller, but have tried a sub which is not all that different to look at. There was no comparison, the PO had presence, style and just 'called' to me. I grudgingly handed it back but I think it has somehow left a permanent imp
Hey guys!I just finished up with this one last night, thought that I would share my results.1916 Waltham Trench Watch with a Sterling Silver Depollier Case. The movement has been completely broken down for cleaning and I installed a brand new mainspring.Polished the sterling silver case, ultrasonically cleaned the enamel military dial.Re-lumed the skeleton hands, they now glow green in the dark once charged.I chose to re-installed the original crystal as it is still in good condition.PLUS, this one still has the factory original sterling silver "Khaki RFG USA" crown ! ! ! ! !A lot of the time when you see one of these the original crown is missing and a bad replacement is present.7 jewels, grade 361, size 3/0s, sn 20394481, model 1907.And now for the "WRISTSHOT" ! ! ! ! !
DSC02947.jpgDSC02941.jpgDSC02943.jpgOf the cases the number carries: T0945948 The work carries the number: LXW, 5703335 Can somebody say what to the production year and the model row? Thanks!
The black and silver dial are No longer to be seen on the website and app catalogues. Only the funky colors are remaining and those are limited in production. Are we gonna see new colors being released? Or are we seeing a discontinuation of the line?Any insider information?
I was just checking Ebay for Vintage Seamaster 300s as I often do, and came across a few Watchco listings for their newly built Vintage Seamaster 300. They had been asking a buy it now of $3700 just a few weeks ago. Today the buy it now is $4400.I knew the day would come that the prices on these would go through the roof...that time is now. As some of you are aware I built three of these in the last few months and due to price increases I have stopped doing builds of my own. Glad I got in on them while they were still reasonable. One of my builds is still my daily wearer and favorite watch I have ever owned. If anyone is considering one, or has been, you better get one now before they are $5000.
