Suggestions for First Buy!
Hey there! New to the forums and looking to possibly get into the hobby. If not, it would be nice to have some quality watches to wear. Currently I don't really have any watches worthy of note, just an old Fossil Grant Chronograph I wear on occasion.So I am looking for suggestions on what should be my first purchase. So let's narrow down the options and see what you guys come up with. To start, I am a 21-year-old college senior going into professional school in the medical field.- Looking to keep it below $200, may stretch to $250 if the watch is really highly regarded.- Preferably an auto, but if you can convince me that a quartz is of exceptional quality then feel free to let me know!- I do have a smaller wrist, and the Fossil I have is 44 mm and I think it's a tad big for me, so I'm thinking I probably need to stick to 38-40 range maybe 41- I do tend to learn towards watches with a leather strap (brown usually), as I feel they fit my smaller wrist (about 6.25" inches around) better,

I think I know, via this forum and general observations, about current watch styles in the States. And I know that watch companies market the same models internationally. But, are 44mm divers common wear among Parisiens on the Champs-Elysees? Will I see many pilots being worn in Barcelona, other than by Americans? Or are more conservative, classic styles the norm? Yes, I have been to both cities recently (and am returning this summer) and noticed the models in stores. Looking back, I didn't observe what the western Europeans were actually wearing. Any thoughts?

I am about to pull the trigger for a third watch. I currently have an AP 15400 Blue dial and Ebel 139 Tekton. (You are probably questioning why would he even have an Ebel in the collection? Because I received as a gift).I narrowed down my choices to Rolex Daytona white face, Rolex Submariner LV, Pre-owned AP Diver, or IWC Ingenieur. I will appreciate your inputs!
