- Got it for the boyfriend for Christmas 2010. So the jury is out on his opinion. But, mine is that it is a nice looking watch for not too much $$. Hope he likes it!

Breitling A1732033/G642-leather-brown-tang wrist watches news:
Can anyone tell me if Omega is discontinuing the their GMT watches.First it was the white dial in 2005 and now I hear the black dial is alsobeing discontinued. My AD does not have it in his 2009 catalogue. Does that mean that Omega will no longer have a GMT watch and a competitor to the Rolex Explorer? If so, a sad day indeed. I own a Great White and I guess it is now a collectors piece. I would appreciate any and all comments.

I suppose this has come up before, but I can't seem to uncover the discussion via a forum search.I understand that possibly WWI silver "British" trench watches with movements signed "SS&Co." are Stauffer, Sons & Co., and that this company had a relationship with IWC in the first 15 or so years of the 20th Century, where IWC supplied SS&Co. with movements. The SS&Co signing was usually accompanied by a device of 3 triangles. I also understand that SS&Co also occasionally signed similar watch movements with "S&Co". Any of this ring a bell with anybody? I read one entry in a Google search of the subject that says SS&Co with the 3 triangle device are not IWC, but he doesn't say if that means the movement is good or if it's junk. I couldn't find anything further on this.

Hi,Although I have a couple watches (one Rolex and Cartier apiece) I don¡¯t know much about watches - I received both of those as gifts.I¡¯m on vacation and I just tried on the Rolex Day Date 40 in rose gold and with a green dial. The Rolex store showed me the MSRP of $35k and said they could go down to $30k. Is that a good price for this watch? I did some quick googling and saw it only from $28k - $32k. However, I¡¯m not sure if they are all the same watch because although they look the same, some say ¡°anniversary¡± and other don¡¯t.Could someone advise if there are multiple versions of this watch and whether $30k is a good price? I was thinking of countering with $27k, do you think that¡¯s doable? Is this considered a good watch in terms of keeping its value in the future?
