Cartier WE902035 wrist watches news:
Picked it for $50, minus a $20 eBay coupon, so I'm only in it for $30.Condition wise, the dial is mint and the gold filled case isn't worn. Just a few dings here and there.Anyway, as you can see in the pictures, it has solid lugs. At first I thought someone might have soldered them on, but they seem original to me. The band that came with it, might be original, as it has a Longines clasp and as you can see it has tabs that go around the lugs. Next, it needs a new crystal, as it has a crack at the bottom, but as you can see it is a tad unusual.Once you remove the top bezel, you get this. Here's the movement, 3 adjustments, 17 jewels, 36,000 bhp.The dialThe watch assembled (note the dial design matches matches the bracelet)Okay, so here are my questions.1. Did Longines actually produce a watch like this with solid lugs? Like I said, I can't see any sign that they were added on to replace cracked or broken lugs, but then again they seem odd, especially when trying to fit a strap. (the
Hello watchtalkforum members,I have the Rotary GB00140/06, I just recieved it yesterday and I'm not sure is the problem with me or with the watch. The manual that came with the watch is for OS20 quartz mechanism. According to it the large second hand shoud be the main chronograph second hand, but that is not the case. The small dail is the chronograph's second hand. The large second hand is like in a normal watch it measures the seconds. Every chronograph watch I look on the internet uses the large second hand for the chronograph function and the small dail second hand for the normal seconds. Is something wrong with the watch? Is there a function that enables the large second hand to be used for the chronograph? Please help me to understand is the watch simply with different mechanism or there is something wrong with it. Is this normal?Thank you in advance!
The 5711 is probably the most popular of the current lot, Interested to see how it will stack up against some of the other popular models.. Throwing in a few options at various levels of complication and price.. 1,2,3 Vote!
As you know, Patek will celebrate their 175th anniversary in October, by releasing a set of special time pieces. Mr.Stern mentioned in the following interview, that this time they will try to please regular Patek collectors as well, by releasing not only ultra-high-end pieces:What do you think the new releases would be? Any wild (or not so wild) ideas?I personally believe it could well be something that noone expects. Like a limited run of a steel 2499, or a titanium 5970
