- Will some one donate to a worthy cause and buy one for me? Lost mine because I forgot to screw down the knob after changing the time when I went overseas for a diving drip. Saw the water in the watch and it broke my heart.

Cartier Cartier 11577 wrist watches news:
We have now entered the world of designer watch winders. Did you ever think that your next watch winder would be inspired by a chair? Or perhaps high heels? Well these two are. German safe and watch winder maker Dottling has built a follow-up model to their famed Colosimo watch winder safe. I originally wrote about the Colosimo here. The new winder is still called the Colosimo, but is smaller than the original and now has room to wind three versus one watch. To begin, Dottling will offer two limited edition versions of the second generation Colosimo. These are Colosimo "The Spike" and Colosimo "The Mies." Aren't they stylish? The main idea of the Colosimo is to look like a small safe. It has a safe-style door that opens up to reveal the winding drum. The drum has been redone here to offer space for three watches. The second gen Colosimo dimensions are 21cm x 21cm x 20cm. It is almost a perfect square and about 7 centimeters smaller than the original. It also weighs a lot less. Dottling w
Just a few short weeks ago, Girard-Perregaux unveiled a reinterpretation of its traditional Three Bridges tourbillon concept at Baselworld, signaling a shift in design and material usage for the brand moving forward. The watch is called the Neo-Tourbillon and its architectural execution breathes new life into the now 150-year-old Three Bridges. Combining subdued finishing with a minimal dial design, the Neo-Tourbillon places all the emphasis on depth and dimension, a fitting direction for a watch no doubt inspired by the success of the Constant Escapement. 2 OF 6 Voluminous architecture is the theme of the Neo-Tourbillon. The massive titanium bridges have been skeletonzied, sandblasted, and PVD treated. They arch over the exposed gearing from the mainspring on down to the escapement and are set into the gently banked anthracite ruthenium dial plate that's also been sandblasted to amplify the shift in visual depth. Helping the effect is the crystal, which takes the form of
Hey all, I've got a buddy who has a 2264.50 whose battery just died. He sent it in to his jeweler to have the battery replaced and they suggested he have it overhauled. I'm familiar with the need to overhaul automatic or manual watches (I've to a 2254.50 and a 3570.50) but I don't know what is involved in overhauling a quartz watch, besides replacing the seals. Could anyone give me some advice as to what needs to be done, how often it should be done (his watch is around 5 years old) and how much is reasonable to pay an independent jeweler? Thanks!
I'm trying to research information on a watch that I've had since 1975 and have searched all over the internet to get some information on the value and whether it is worth doing some restoration or selling it for its gold value. I have the original box and paperwork on the watch. The watch number is 136267. My Grandfather had been a watchmaker and jeweler until his retirement in the early 70's. In the very early 1980's, the watch stem became loose. Rather than having the watch sent to Ebel for repair I opted to let the local jeweler just tighten the stem. Later a problem developed and I was told the plates were stripped in the movement. My grandfather was in Switzerland around that time and bought a new movement for the watch from Girard-Perregaux 633-676. He purchased me a second movement as a spare that has never been used. It is a 17 jewel movement Swiss unadjusted. It no longer has the original Ebel movement and the inside of the case has had some changes to accommodate th
Hey everyone. Thinking about picking up a 42mm offshore and buying a bracelet separately. I've owned the royal oak chrono 26320/15400 and enjoy the beautiful finishing of the RO bracelet and disco ball effect it has in the light. My question is I am wondering if the offshore bracelet is equally as beautiful and contrasted as the standard royal oak bracelet? I don't have an AP dealer anywhere close to see in person which is why I'm seeking advice. Hard to tell from pictures..
