New strap for my STOWA Marine 2801
I factory ordered my #63 STOWA Marine 2801 back a couple of months ago and haven't really worn it much. The stock strap was a dull black and I felt it didn't do this beautiful watch justice. This past weekend, I ordered a new strap for it and what a difference!First, a closeup of the dial and hands...The new strap: a dark blue croc to match the blued hands...Glam pics...The strap is very comfortable, pliable and the spring bars have an quick releasefeature:

Hi people,I'm currently looking for a watch for my Mom. She loves jewelry and I want to give her an elegant diamond watch. I found this De Grisogono watch with black diamonds. I know she would be thrilled if she got something like this. It's absolutely gorgeous, but it's just beyond my budget. Would anyone know something similar but with a more reasonable price?

Design logic of the maxi case lugs
Hi all,I am wondering about the design logic (i.e. proportionality) of the wide lugs of the present-day Sub (116610).When you look at the Sub, if you were to place the watch flat on a sheet of paper, put the tip of your pencil at the edge of the case close to the 9 o'clock marker, and then trace along the edge of the case progressing towards the lug, then continue that line on it's trajectory, would it eventually meet the bracelet?If so, where? (Perhaps at the clasp?) If not, would the line parallel the taper of the bracelet? (i.e. Is there a mathematical relationship between the proportionality/taper of the case and bracelet?)Any ideas or opinions very welcome.Thanks,David
