Cartier W1555951 wrist watches news:
I bought a bumper about a month ago, but it turned out to be in really sad shape (so now it is an official parts watch). This one is in a great deal better condition. This is definitely one Elgin that I wanted to add to my collection since it was the first American made automatic movement. As I noticed on the first bumper, this style case, especially the lugs, seems prone to having the gold layer wearing in certain spots. In fact, on both cases, the wear areas are almost identical. Happily, this example is just in better shape. The dial is near pristine, but on its first COA, the hands will need to be polished.Once I cleaned a layer of crud off every surface and from every crevice, the case polished up nicely, making the wear through the 10K gold filling less noticeable. The crystal was listed as cracked, but luckily, it was just heavily scratched and buffed out nicely. I really don't know which bumper is in this or the other watch because this case uses a caseback that is extremel
Fellow AP enthusiasts, thought i would share with you my latest acquisition. This came about somewhat unexpectedly but it has literally blown all previous preconceptions out of the water. This is a pre-boutique 15202 and i purchased this whilst also owning a 15300. My current tastes have always led me to newer models with chunkier bracelets but when this arrived there was only one winner and the 15300 was soon flipped. A light polish at AP to bring it back to life and this is the result. Quite frankly, it's superb and comfy as hell and is going nowhere.
Well, Looks like I'm part of the Breitling Club. Today's my 30th Birthday and My parent's got me a Breitling Cockpit. I actually picked it up a couple of weeks ago and planned on it being my present to myself, but they insisted they wanted to get me something nice for me being three decades old.....so I handed it over to them....gift wrapped and all I happen to really like the watch, it's comfortable, and not one of the huge abomination's that Breitling loves to put out.I'm not big on fancy pics, and I haven't been home long enough to play with the camera. So here's a shot of it with the cell.
I have an old 60-70s Omega constellation which came with a steel bracelet.I've tried putting a black crocodile but it just doesn't look quite good and it gets 0 wrist time.I was thinking I could revitalize the look with maybe a NATO strap or a bund strap.Any suggestions?Has anyone seen a conny on nato?Another thing is I was wondering what you guys think about polishing the case.
Looking around the Omega site I came across a beautiful pic of the White Seamaster GMT. Being how much I love my White Exp. II and being my daily wearer I wonder if anyone here has owned or still owns a White Omega GMT? Any pros/cons of white vs. black?
