Cartier Cartier 34247 wrist watches news:
Hello Rolex Pro's:I'm hoping a few of you can help me out with an issue before I take my wife's 6 year old Yachtmaster in for repair. Long story short, the watch was serviced recentlyand evidently serviced improperly. I posted of these woes about a month ago on here, but no more whining about that; I promise. On the plus side, the watch is keeping good time. But I was winding the watch by hand today since my wife had not wore it much during the past week and noticed a problem. After winding it in the first position, I pulled the crown out to the second position to set the date. It still just winds. When I pull the crown out to the third position, it sets the time via the minute-hand as it's supposed to. No amount of finite pushing or pulling on the crown will allow it to advance the date wheel.Does this sound like anything serious? Obviously, I'm getting my money back from the watchmaker who did the work but would like to be educated a bit before taking it elsewhere. Thanks v
Well folks - going for a first here...having started a new job this week I am corresponding with you from the Republic of Congo!!I should hasten to add the RoC is the more benign of the two Congos; the better known more hostile one being the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).I'm sitting here in the capital city Brazzaville on the banks of the Congo River. The capital of the DRC (Kinshasa) is about 3 kms away on the other side of the river. [Trivia time: Kinshasa and Brazzaville are the two geographically closest capital cities in the world]So I need to update my profile and, sadly, will replace the image of Victoria Falls in Zambia in my signature line. Just as soon as I find something worthy to photograph - which is going to be quite a challenge seeing as photography of public sights, buildings etc is actually illegal in this country!!Will be setting up an office in the port city of Pointe Noire and high on the 'to-do' list is install high speed internet. Wouldn't want to lose t
The Hamilton Khaki Automatic/Mechanical/Quartz has got a lot of discussion on this Forum.. Why do you think it has been so popular?
I managed to catch this Breitling Navitimer 806. Its fairly large at approximately 42mm n is powered by a Venus chronograph movement. I dont know much about Breitling but based on my research, this watch is a 1st gen model and has the desirable beads of rice rotating bezel. The case is sharp and appears unpolished. The dial is original but missing the outer slide rule ring. The hands appear to be relumed. Hoping someone can enlighten me more about this watch. Thanks. Title says it all. Which PP is the best bang for your buck under or very close to the $50,000 price point that will retain its value long term. Not interested in nautilus or aquanaut models. Thanks for your input.
