Hey guys !I was sort of bored today so I got in touch with an ebayer that I bought a few watches from the other day to see if they had been shipped yet. I was VERY glad that he didn't mail them yet! He was just about a 45 minute drive North of me so I asked if I could stop by and pick them up. He was a very nice guy and said "yes, no problem". He then said that he has a bunch more watches that I may be interested in looking at, I was like "OH REALLY"! So I stopped at the ATM and grabbed some extra cash (just in case) and I was on my way North. Upon arrival he had several boxes full of watches ready for me to go through. I cherry picked for well over an hour and I bought about 15 watches/cases. These people were VERY nice folks so we chatted for quite some time. I asked if they happen to have anymore Elgin, Waltham, Hampden or Illinois in the back somewhere? He quickly said that some guy named Greg already bought all of the Illinois stuff awhile back! Rubber strap or bracelet for greytheme?
So Now I've finally acquired my grail which is the greytheme roo and I'm considering getting a rubber strap or bracelet however I'm not sure which would fit the roo best grey or black rubber strap or should I just save up and get the bracelet. I love the hornback a lot however, It would be great to be able to wear it without worrying about my arms getting sweat or wet so what do you guys think? And if I get the grey strap would it be too similar to the grey hornback? Is the bracelet too expensive and should I rather get that money toward some other new watch This is my current collection 2 leather strap 2 bracelet and 2 rubber strap incase this change anything hahahah the price of the bracelet from the around 2400-2500$ btw. I tried this new model on a few days ago. I currently have a Speedy Pro so I was very keen to try this one. Well, I could buy this particular one for about $ 4,300What I thought was nice:Everything about the dial, it is pefect for me.Bracelet is brushed and looks really great.The quality and finish is excellent.What I do not like:Thickness, its diameter to thickness ratio is not ideal and looks too fat.The date adjuster on the left side is not a deal breaker but why is it required on a watch like this?The styling of case, but I guess it is supposed to look like this. The lack of lugs needs a bit of getting used to.How to make it right:Make a titanium version that is 2mm thinner
