Cartier W20099C4 wrist watches news:
Good evening to allI am new here and I would like some information about a seamaster cosmic 2000 that I own.The watch is a gold plated one model GD 366.0826 and the case number is 166.136. Unfortunately I'm missing the original bracelet which I'm searching to buy. I'm not sure about the ref. of the bracelet which may be 1198/221 or 1198/195.If somebody knows something I would very much apriciate it.Thank you for your time.
I'm not sure if I like many of these but the engineering is amazing. I particularly like the 3D escapements.https://facebook/entoutetran...1685919810368/
I would like to start collecting watches, however, like every hobby, it could get quite expensive. Given my current economic status, I cannot afford to be dropping hundreds of dollars on a quality watch at a moments notice.I was thinking come spring/summer I could start hitting flea markets and estate sales to possibly find some vintage watches that people usually come across while cleaning or whatever, and don't know what they really have and will let it go for a few dollars.Does this sound reasonable? Are there others out there like me who want to start a new hobby with minimal cash? Is it possible to find quality watches this way?I'd like to hear others' experiences and see pictures of watches people have found this way and spent little cash on, say, under $50.
I stopped into two Omega boutiques over my holiday travels. And I saw in the both shops the Tin Tin. I was told that Omega is still producing these watches and that there really was a stop in production. I was surprised to see brand new Tin-Tin watches. I thought they hadn¡¯t made those in 5 years or thereabouts. Now I doubt I¡¯d ever buy one as that dial would clash with almost everything I own but something is strange with Omega and these ¡°limited editions¡±.
I just went to an AD and REALLY wanted the watch (stolen picture below for reference). However, with a list of $3,300 I thought there was room for bargaining. I offered 10% less for a cash today purchase, and they said No dice. They argued the same thing I've heard from Rolex, that Omega won't allow discounts anymore. So I left. Then I went back, and tried again. Then the manager said the same thing. So I left again. So what do you think? Are they really holding firm for policy reasons? I was wearing my Rolex 14060 at the time, and I wasn't sure if that had something to do with it. I went in looking for a blue-face Turn-O-Graph, but they didn't have one. I'm currently obsessing on watches with blue faces, for some reason.Someone through amazon is selling the watch for $2700 - should I just go that way, or are their Authorized Dealer issues with this? Thanks!
