IWC Limited Edition Pilot Watches Celebrate "The Little Prince" Birthday
Lest you think that this is some tenuous tie-in to the most recent future monarch born in the UK, just note that the two watches IWC has released to commemorate "The Little Prince" are actually a tie-in to literature. While I don't myself recall ever having read "The Little Prince," by Antoine de Saint-Exup¨¦ry, it is one of the best-selling books of all time. ?I mean, how many children's books from 1943 do you know of that have their own website?Given that de Saint-Exup¨¦ry was an adventurer and a pilot, it only makes sense that the watches being introduced are of the aviator style. Of the two models introduced, the Pilot's Watch Mark XVII Edition ¡°Le Petit Prince¡± (ref. IW326506) is the less complex. Watch adjustment varies geographically???
Okay, I'm NO watch expert, but I was reading a listing on Ebay for a RR-grade pocket watch, and the seller offered to adjust the watch for best operation in the geographical location of the buyer. Surely regional variations in magnetic & gravitational fields shouldn't affect an otherwise well adjusted high quality movement, should they???Regards,Tim
