As Tudor & Ducati teamed up for the Fastrider we were invited to join them on a fast paced weekend in Tuscany Italy. Shortly after flying into Italy we find ourselves at the Ducati headquarter in Bologna where it all started for them. Here we were welcomed for a presentation about Ducati and continued with museum visit and factory tour (sorry, strictly no photos) afterwards.Study models of the Ducati Panigale super bike. In the background a model that is (partially) made in clay with some road use components.Besides all the obvious motorbikes that are on display they also have a few display cases with electrical components as this is what Ducati actually started building in the early 30¡¯s of last century. It wasn¡¯t until 1946 that they started working on engines for bicycles, followed by motorbikes. Newbie Winding Advice
Hi,My wife recently asked what I would like for my forth coming 60th birthday, a new watch was my reply. Off to the jewlers and straight to the Omega display I picked the Speedmaster Day Date 3221.30.00. I had wanted the day date for quite a while and almost purchased one on ebay, several times being out bid though. The blue dial was my favorite but when I had the silver, blue, and black in front of me, it had to be the silver for me. The last watch I bid on was only months old and had a number of 84xxxxxx so I was surprised and disappointed that my new watch was 81xxxxxx. (2007 circ) I took it back to the shop and asked for a replacement. They agreed, and it came 3 days ago number 84xxxxxx. Its stunning, took a photo but not good enough for the forum, I will try again with a better camera. Anyway to the question. I wound it fully 3 days ago, I am not allowed to wear a watch in work so as soon as I get home its on my wrist for 6 hrs, it goes to bed in its box for 18hrs when I am off w

Heading for 3 months now on my new hobby and would be interested on any opinions you guys may have. Had purchased a couple of others but they were not to my liking. Breitling 816 Packaging
As I have possibly bored people on here before with, I was presented with a new Breitling Navitimer 816 when I was too young to fully appreciate it. Foolishly I threw away the box and papers that came with it. Over 41 years later I still have the watch and wear it occasionally, but lament the lack of that damn box!I can¡¯t remember for sure what it looked like, so I was pleased to see pic 1 a couple of years ago, as I thought that at least I now knew what I¡¯m looking for.Now I¡¯ve just seen an 816 up for auction next month and the catalogue shows a different style of box, but with a note that it¡¯s the original ¨C pic 2.Does anyone here, please, know which of these is correct for a watch which was new in 1974, (though manufactured in ¡¯68)?Image10.jpgSaidtobeorigboxfor816.jpg

Latest arrival yellow diver
Yep, it's a Seiko SKXA35. I had wanted to get this yellow diver for a long time and finally decided to pull the trigger. The Z22 flat vent rubber strap which came with is OK, but the quality is not as good as the one I got from Jimmy. Anyway, here are some Q & D shots.Thanks for looking!- Hiro
