Cartier w51028Q3 wrist watches news:
Last month in New York City, TAG Heuer celebrated the launch of their Carrera - Heuer 01 chronograph with a spectacular event featuring new brand ambassador Tom Brady. The Carrera - Heuer 01 is a milestone watch for TAG Heuer. Besides being a manufacture automatic chronograph at a very attractive price, it is a major product launch for the brand's new CEO, Jean-Claude Biver. Recently, HODINKEE caught up with TAG Heuer's Head of Products, Marc Walti, for a technical discussion about the movement in the Carrera - Heuer 01. 1 OF 5 2 OF 5 HODINKEE: How does the Calibre Heuer 01 differ from Calibre 1887? (Note: the TAG Heuer caliber 1887 is manufactured by TAG Heuer, and is derived from a basic design from Seiko Instruments, which uses a tilting pinion design – the latter having been invented by Edouard Heuer in 1887 as an alternative to the lateral clutch system.)TAG HEUER: The base movement for the new Calibre Heuer 01 is the Calibre 1887. Yes, my wrist is 6" in circumference, which means I have a relatively small wrist for an adult male :)However, I love IWC and am on the hunt for my first "quality" watch. Most of the watches I've seen are very large 40mm+ which look goofy on my wrist. However, I've found out recently that not all face measurements are edge to edge, so a 40mm face, can really mean much larger. So my question is whether anyone with as small of a wrist as mine (or within striking distance) has any advice on particular IWC models? I'm particularly fond of chronographs.
My Hamilton Fontainebleau Chronomatic is currently at the watchmaker. Will take about to 2 months, but at least that gives me some time to think about which strap to buy Originally the fontainebleau was fitted with an SS bracelet. Personally I prefer a black leather strap. What do you guys think, croc, racing or SS????IMAG0187.jpgBare in mind, the caliber 11 movement in the Hamilton was developed with Heuer and was also in the Monaco and Carrera.
Hi guys, does the nautilus 5980 chronograph come without a date function?
I know about the roulette date wheel used in some datejust models but was curious, do they use that wheel on any day-date models? Thanks for the info in advance. Cheers,Andrew
