Hi. I'm a big watch fan and really like Patek (along with Rolex, Breguet, JLC, and Panerai, owning some of those too).Patek and its history, watches, position, name, etc. in the watch world never cease to fascinate me, so I am glad to find a forum open to a newbie watch fan and collector.As a short intro, here are my current PPs. I have high hopes to add at least another as soon as it's possible (and I can make up my mind).I'll look forward to learning and sharing info with you all. p.s. Where to get the best price globally?
I'm looking to buy an IWC - what is the region with the best price level and can anyone refer an authorised dealer to quote the best discount? The ones I've talked to say they can only mark down 10-15%are the margins on IWC's really that tight?I am based in Europe but travel often to US, mostly NY. Far East might also work. Import duties and VAT prevent direct mail ordering, although I think shipping within the US is an option. I have bought a few Omega's and Tag's before and they were clearly more affordable in the US (with a solid 30-40% discount) compared to Europe, although the fx rate is a bit less favourable these days.Thanks already!

How to use a watch loupe?
Hi guys! I just got a patek wooden watch loupe and looking through it makes me appreciate pateks craftmanship and detail that they put into thier movements.I just though how do you properly use one? Do you look through the wider opening or the slimmer one(metal part)? I tried both and for me the magnification seems the same? Any thoughts? Sorry for the nebie question just want to learn and do it properly. Thank you.

Got a call from my AD last Saturday telling me they have something for me.Long and short of it, my grail had walked in their door, a pre owned version! They know I¡¯m a savvy buyer and would never have bought this new unless a decent discount. Watch is literally 2 months old, was sold by my AD and bought back from the AD.
