A Week On The Wrist: The Zodiac Sea Wolf
1953 was the year the dive watch was born. Sure, the quirky Art Deco OMEGA Marine went underwater in 1932 and (Rolex-cased) Panerais were on the wrists of Italian commandos in Word War II, but it was at the 1953 Basel watch fair that the first purpose-built dive watches appeared. While the Rolex Submariner wouldn’t make its official debut until the 1954 fair, two other brands proudly introduced their divers in ’53: Blancpain with its Fifty Fathoms and Zodiac with the Sea Wolf. They say history is written by the victors and indeed, Blancpain and Rolex have capitalized on their long lineages while the Sea Wolf was all but forgotten, other than its dubious distinction as the wrist-wear of a serial killer in the 1970s who took his watch fetish a little too far by calling himself “Zodiac.” With Zodiac’s forthcoming re-release of the Sea Wolf, it’s a good excuse to look back at the pioneering watch’s history and evaluate the new watch.The Fifty Fatho

I just realized today that I went the entire day without wearing one of my watches. That is kind of scary. I feel like I let them down. I just went to the vault and put on one of my watches for a few hours of wrist time. I went with the Zodiac Dragon Wing Chronograph (Blue, 07402). Now I feel much better.

Omega Planet Ocean Liquidmetal vs Rolex Submariner, what holds better value?
My first post on this great forum. So much good quality info and help from experienced owners it is just incredible!I have been wanting to buy a Sub for some time now, but when I saw the PO Liquidmetal must say that my heart crossed to Omega. The only question I have for more experienced watch people is related to the potential resale price of PO LM in the future.Rolexes are well known for holding the best value over time. Omegas not so much, from what I could see the standard PO's loose upto 50% of value in 2 years time. As I dont like wasting my money too much I discarded Omega easily.But what I dont know is how will the Limited Edition factor of PO Liquidmetal influence the resale price? In theory limited eds should loose less value in time, but on the other hand it is not as limited as the word may imply with 2000 pieces to be produced. The second factor where I am in the dark, first liquidmetal watch in the world factor...So, if there are some good souls out there experienced in v
