Citizen CA4207-53H wrist watches news:
Is this a Glenn Curtiss residing in this bubbleback style case? The dial and hands match, but the reference shows a gold case. The Webster has a similar gf case but different dial and hands.987F movement serial # 4192438-Any thoughts as to model?
Newbie learning about more classic timepieces. As a nonWIS I tend to buy on looks, granted I don't buy quartz. Everyone seems to drool over the NOMOS glaushutte and am trying real hard to love it someday not only for personality but grow on me to wanna save up for it. Help me get what all the fuss is about?
Hey guys,I've been hunting for the right Rolex sub and went to a place to try one on. They wanted $7K for a 1983...a little out of my league.Anyway, went across the street to an antique shop, and there's a jeweler associated with them next door. I saw an Omega and asked to check it out. Here's the story:The owner's dad (also owner at the shop) bought it from a trusted source who bought it new from a famous jeweler in town. No Papers.Band has 1610/930 on it and end links, as well as 8,07X,XXX.2007 Omega Seamaster Professional Chronometer 300m/1000ft $1895.What do you think? I haven't studied Omegas, but I know they are great watches. I may end up with one and wait a while for my Red Sub!
Anyone know why the 5712 is only 60m waterproof instead of 120m, which according to its own manual is due to the two pushers for the moon phase and date corrections. But the 5726 is rated to 120m even though it has four pushers to correct the day, month, date and moon phase?Does this have something to do with the 240 movement in disguise? Other than that, it makes no sense.Anyone have any thoughts on this? I believe the 5712 is the only Nautilus rated below 120m. I also think it is the only Nautilus with a 240 movement. Even the Aquanaut 5164 has a 120m rating even with a corrector pusher for the date and the two large pushers for the time function. Weird.Any thoughts?
I just noticed that my PAM 233 is scary accurate - only a few seconds late after more than a month of service. My 372 is running fast and my 514 is running really fast - both a P.3000 movement.Have you noticed the same?
