Corum 895.931.06/0371 AN92 wrist watches news:
hello all i am new to this forum
I'm watching a show on the history channel talking about ancient decivievous and arcamedeous inventing hydralic time machines Very interesting. they used water to keep time. then they used water to raise indicators to graduated time locations We're living in the best time in the history of mankind. Just the past 100 yrs or so - mankind has advanced vastly.
I have several Chronographs and admitedly they are not high end and they are quartz. The problem I have that's frustrating is if there is any jarring of the watch the second hand (the sweep hand in the center) will go off twelve. Even after resetting the button it will go back to the off twelve position. I have an Invicta Chrono and don't recall having the problem, but I have a Citizen Thunderbird that the sweep hand is off 12.Anyone have this problem or should I stop banging my fist on the counter for service with a Chrono on?
I guess I've lost interest in watches lately, because although I'm on here several times a day I just haven't seen anything in a long time I would want.I mean I see a lot I like, most recently the Legends diver and I even know where I could get one for a heck of a price, but I feel like I already have too many watches I like but never end up wearing. The ones I am wearing I am wearing...meaning I don't care if they get scratched or dinged I'm really wearing them as I feel they should be worn.Aside from cleaning I don't polish them anymore, just throw them in the safe and trade for another.Anyone else get like this? I'm not unhappy about it, it means more money in the bank, I'm just content seeing what everyone else is buying, I'm just not interested myself.
Hi, just received this lovely old Roamer Chrono and I love it. I did have a mint one a few years back, but due to me (stupidly) thinking that it was too big, sold it :( :(Anyhoo, received this one today and I'm loving it all over again:Pretty chunky for an oldie at 46mm inc crown and it houses a Valjoux 7734 movement that appears to be keeping great time (well at least over the few hours I have had it) It was on a Nato, but I have scrapped that and put it on a mock-kevlar, which I think suits it nicely :DThe bezel insert has gone a brassy colour, and I was going to try to source and original insert, but I actually like the brass colour and it does suit the watch.Mark
