Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon Spacemaster X-Lume Watch
This is the star new Ball watches of the year in my opinion. This timepiece is a smooth evolution of the Hydrocarbon watch design. It combines so much of what I like about Ball watches and presents it in a nicely refined package that I certainly feel has the quality of a new classic for the brand. No doubt there will be spin-offs on this design for a while to come. I recently discussed some Ball watches that I like when I was visiting with Ball in Las Vegas here. Enough of you commented positively that I realized I was not alone in appreciating this brand. Which means that I think enough of you will agree with me on this watch.The new watch is the Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon Spacemaster X-Lume. Think of it as the astronaut-themed version of the Hydrocarbon watch. Most watches of this caliber really don't need and special enhancements to be good for use is space, but some new branding won't hurt. The watch uses a Swiss automatic ETA caliber 2836-2 movement that has the time, day, and date

I've seen the Omegas and I have seen Rolexs but I dont recall seeing any Breitling lume shots.Has anyone got a lume shots?Regards Aaron

New to watches - Looking to buy my first.
Hey guys, my name is Matt, and I just stumbled upon these forums while looking for information on watches. I really know nothing, starting at zero. Though it seems I am getting a crash course from these forums.Anyways, I am 19 years old, and I think watches are something I would like to get into. Slowly, of course. After looking at many styles, and some of the luxury ones you all mention, I have decided my favourite style by far are the vintage styles. I think that they are absolutely beautiful.My price range is $200-$400 for this first watch, since I am saving up for school as well. I am also looking for something I can wear everyday.One other thing for me is that I would very much like to buy something I can go see in a store, and not need to purchase online. My goal is to learn a lot about vintage watches before I start really looking to buy some. For now, I am looking at the style, while still getting a quality watch.On to some actual watches. Off to the spa...
Well ye olde hair spring broke on my 15300...only 3 years since the last movement service. Long enough to be out of warranty. Only choice is a full service...I also opted for a case refinishing. It will be the second as I bought the Watch pre-owned.Afraid I didn¡¯t take any before pics. But truth be told, there were only some small dents on the bezel edge and scuffs on the case chamfers and one lug hole. Bracelet had a few scuffs on the brush marks as well. The watch maker gave no warnings of refinishing dangers...So, I figured YOLO...It will be nice to have a new watch in 11 weeks or so!
