Happy 2011! Any Rolex New Year's Resolutions?
My collection has remained pretty stable the past year or so. But of course, I'm always thinking (scheming?) about the next one. In the short term, I think I'd like to pick up a "beater" 1680 Submariner to restore. I've got a really sweet refinished/restored red Submariner dial that really looks outstanding as a "daily driver." It has next to no collector's value, but it also looks pristine (snow white markers, etc.) and you can wear it without worrying about damaging it. I do miss having and wearing a red Sub:I've also been giving thought to selling my vintage DJ, and picking up a more contemporary example. Came close to pulling the trigger on one last year, but couldn't come together on the numbers. Then there's the grail Day Date. Will this be the year? That will depend on the above two watches. How about you?

WTF Traveling Mascot - A Fun Rainy Day!
It's been raining ALL day here in Atlanta and after I got home, I didn't want to go back out.So, we (the Mascot and I) decided to stay home and take some pics here.I found out he likes GuinessHe also likes Blue Moon (and drank my last one!)The Mascot is quite the bartender, tooTropical Cossack (instead of White Russian - he substituted the cream with Coconut Coffee Mate) Opened some mail - I'm a card-carryin' NRA member! :DHere's Miss Scarlett, named after the Gone With The Wind hot character. We rescued her from the county animal shelter a year ago and she's turned out to be a great little dog. However, she's definitely momma's baby!Here he goes againHe seems to like that margarita - look how he's hugging that glassI got this for the Mascot 'cuz he just may need it later This is a genuine jar of mountain koolaid, blackberry flavorThese next few pics may interest WWII Buff and Art with my humble pieces of history.I was privileged to meet Robert Morgan, the pilot of the famed "Memph
