Ebel 74602970 187911 wrist watches news:
Rolex Purists wont like this but I like to swap from bracelet to strap for a change from time to time.I liked the black Croc strap so much I ordered this one that shows the grain of the strap better, Caiman Hornback Croc.On the wrist:This pic was taken on the hood of my Mustang, it was misting and the temp was 33 degrees F.Here is a pic with the black Croc Strap (on a warmer day)
Just got my brand new Speedy professional yesterday and don't know what I was expecting as I've had 4 previously, but yep it was speedy. Nice box, all the trimmings, ordinary watch :-(I have a seamaster and the quality, look and feel is just a cut above. The speedmaster feels and looks, well like an old watch. I read through the instructions and no rocket science there. I had a little chuckle where it describes how to hold your seconds hand in place to set time to the second (by turning the crown backwards to force the second hand to stop!) How did we ever get to the moon!I love vintage and retro watches as much as the next bloke but I think I could have done better for my $3000 bucks!
Here we go again. So a while back i posted a thread asking a 26320OR owner with a short bracelet to meet up with me so i can try on the watch to see how it felt. A stainless 39mm owner met up with me and i pulled the trigger on the 26320OR on bracelet. Now i want to see if there is a 26401 owner with a SHORT RUBBER STRAP that wants to meet me so i can feel the weight of the watch/how it feels on my wrist. I keep hearing that changing the strap of the watch from regular to short makes a significant difference on how it sits/feels/it's top heavy weight. If anyone is up for it i'm willing to meet you at the AP Boutique and take you to lunch after. ANYONE? ANYONE?!?!?!?!?EDIT: Anyone with a 44 & 42 ROO that has a picture of them side by side on a desk/floor? The 44 bug got me in Miami this weekend at the AP Master Watchmaking Class :(
Hi everyone,I'm struggling with a decision about pursuing the Omega Speedmaster Pro (3570.50 or the 3573.50). I keep coming back to it but can never pull the trigger on it. I already have a chronograph, and several other nice watches (i.e., Rolex, Omega, GS). My near-daily watches are the Rolex Sub-date and the Rolex Explorer II-Polar.Why the hesitation about the Speedmaster Pro? It's a manual wind, doesn't have a date, and the issue of the hesalite crystal. I like the warmer 'look' of the hesalite crystal (3570.50) better than the sapphire crystal (i.e. 3753.50) but appreciate the practical aspects of the sapphire crystal. Im forgetful, and often check my watch several times during the day to remind myself the date. But no matter how often I go through other watches, I keep coming back to the Omega Speedmaster Pro. I love the Speedmaster Pro's history and I love its balanced beauty. My wife thinks its silly that I always check out the Speedmaster Pro when I stroll through different mal
After a short wait (compared to my previous PP), finally got to unbox this today. I will do a proper photo thread soon. It is absolutely stunning and the dial is mesmerising.
