Ebel 1216042 wrist watches news:
I was on my way back from the Post Office after shipping some watch books to PA and near home I saw a sign for a garage sale.I pulled in and looked.....In a box, never worn, still in the plastic, a Casio quartz 100M Divers watch with the wet suit extension. It was DOA so I asked the guy how much? He said a buck, one dollar! So I bought it.Came home opened it up put a battery in it and VOILA....it runs. This will be a great watch for banging around the yard or going to the flea markets and not having any "flash" on to make the sellers up the price. LOLIMO, not a bad buy.Any ideas as to how old this might be? What it cost new? Thanks!
King Jewelers and IWC Schaffhausen, held a private event for IWC Timepiece Collectors on October 15th, at Gotham Steakhouse in Miami Beach's new Fontainebleau Hotel. As South Florida¡¯s premier timepiece destination, King Jewelers offered their elite clientele a chance to get up close and very personal with IWC¡¯s most limited watches of the year, while experiencing the kind of luxury event that only King Jewelers can provide. Below are several images from the event along with the press list. The event was a huge success!
I was curious if anyone knew of a reputable and affordable place that refinishes old pocket watch dials? I have an old Waltham Royal that is getting worked on but they will not touch the dial. It's a 2 million series from 1930ish and had a cut out for the seconds wheel. I tried to find a replacement dial but I can't find any that have the cut out. Any insight or road to go down would be helpfulIf you do know just send me a PM
Hello friends,Looking to know if anyone have seen a Rubberclad with SS clad?Is it possible to change the Rubberclad to ss clad? What do you guys think?Thank you
I spent the last week in the Riviera Maya (had a GTG with Gerardo - topic of another thread) and decided to wear my SMP for the trip. The last evening, I was on my run and it stopped working! I played with it by changing the time, date, winding it, etc. to no avail. I had it serviced in early 2008, but it's been worn/running only about 6-months cumulatively since then. I bought it in 2000 and this is the first time I've ever had a problem (other then time regulation prior to service). Very frustrating! Oh well, shipping it off to someone here in the TRF community.
