1962 Bulova just arrived
This M2 Bulova automatic arrived in the mail today - an eBay purchase ($35). I'm very pleased with its condition. The seller says it has been recently serviced and it does seem to run just fine. We'll see.The seller had it listed as a Squadron model but I believe it is a Jet Clipper it is 17J, water & shock-proof, anti-magnetic with 10K RGP bezel. The hour markers and "Bulova" signature are raised above a linen texture dial. The crown is signed.It arrived with a plain leather band from China but I had a vintage gold filled Speidel that I'd been saving for the right watch and I think this is it. I'm happy with it.

First off what a pompous place OMG! I went in to try on a 5164 as I'm quite interested in making it my next purchase.I asked about Aquanauts and he starts going into how exclusive PP is and the lists are closed for Aquanauts and Nautilus.I then had to hear about the waitlists etc. etc. 5 years for the 5711. I casually rolled up my sleeve and revealed my 5711. I love the change of attitude . He then said, well maybe I can interest you in something else? He didn't offer before.Not really impressed with the inventory they had anyway. Talked for a minute about my other PP's and walked out. I called Wempe and they couldn't be nicer. They and my AD in NJ will be getting one in soon for me to see.

Authenticate Rolex in Hong Kong
Hi allI��m a new member and have been trying to get a steel GMT Master II in many countries around the world with no luck. Will be in Hong Kong in March so this seems like the best place. I��ve been able to find quite a few on Chrono24 from what appear reputable dealers but am concerned about authenticity considering these models are so popular and hard to find.Can anyone advise the best way to authenticate a Rolex purchased from a dealer and not an authorised Rolex store?Is it possible to make an appointment at the Rolex Service Centre in HK for them to open it up and confirm?
