Girard Perregaux 49534.52.711.BK6A wrist watches news:
Hello gentlemen! I received a lovely gift for the Valentine's Holiday - a brand new Seamaster PO Chrono 2210.51 (yes WITH the orange numbers) and I like it! I know there's some ruffled feathers about the color ;)Great watch! I originally had decided between the Seamaster 300M Chrono (212.30) or the Speedmaster Broad Arrow (321.10) with the Arrow winning out in my mind. Not at all disappointed with the surprise PO though! Quick question, this is my first Omega - my first high-end watch of any kind actually. I've noticed that my watch has stopped running a few times at night in the week I've had it. I'll wear it about 10 hours or more a day, I work as a restaurant manager and am walking most of that time. In my mind, it seems with an auto winder that should do the trick, but I've woken up to find it dead on more than one occasion. What am I doing wrong? What do I need to do? or Is something wrong with my watch? Help me out veterans also interested in any other tips, tricks, advice for
This is my all time favorite Omega - the Speedmaster Day/Date 3520.53.00 a.k.a. "Mk40".This is the original Michael Schumacher watch, and it features an Omega modified Valjoux 7751 automatic movement. I had one of these previously that I foolishly sold off. Lucky for me I was able to acquire this one which is actually in better shape than the first one I owned. It really is in amazing condition considering that it is at least 10 years old! All the functions work perfectly, and even the lume still kicks it like it was brand new!I simply love the gray dial combined with red, yellow, and white hand colors. This is the only watch I've ever kept on a winder just because it takes awhile to set if you let it stop running.. :) Of course I like the Speedmaster bracelet, but I think I'll be putting this on a genuine Omega double ridge strap like the one shown in the Omega advertisement below.
Greetings TRF,I really took a lot of pictures yesterday and had to delete quite a few as they didn't come out nicely. Here's the last one I decided to keep and share with you, that's what I would call one of my watch duo's.This one is dedicated to Ken (Steelerfan65) and his incredible Jumbo/Nautilus pair. Mine aren't good collectibles, are much smaller and beaten up but hey, they do make me just as happy! Thank you for watching, feel free to comment.
I noticed quite an influx of Speedies here lately, so I took the liberty to make a sig image that shows membership in the Space Club. Feel free to use it if you want to.You can just link to the image below.
Security review of a Rolex watch:OverviewThis is the 21st century, not only that, with the threat of nefarious actors (both domestic and abroad) looking to steal, kill and destroy all parts of our lives, the security in the gadgets and accessories we use must never be overlooked. This applies to both physical and digital security. For the sake of this article we will not be looking at securing a Rolex, but on the security built into a Rolex itself. With our modern need for security how much as Rolex considered this in the design of their products?Physical SecurityLet me be clear up front that this depends on the year and make of the watch. A DSSD is far more resilient to physical intrusion than say a DD or Cellini. However, the security of even the DSSD will only discourage the most rookie or lazy of villains. A hammer will easily give you access. The down side of this brute entry is (although you will get access to the inter workings and messaging of the watch) one cannot modif
