Hi, been lurking around for a few monthsvery interesting forum.I do have a question: When did Rolex begin using the Rolex hologram on their watches? My day/date President has a "z" serial number, manufactured around July 2006 to December 2007, I think, and I can't see any hologram at the "six" position....but then again, my eyes ain't what they used to be.Saul
SKX033K2 SEIKO Pepsi BezelI have had this wonderful piece since February and I think it is time I share my feelings. Details:# Solid Stainless steel Case and Bracelet.# Automatic Movement.# Dark Grey Dial.# Date and Day window.# Red Zone Bezel.# Crystal Hardlex Glass Crystal.# Luminous hands and markers.# Bi-directional ratchet Bezel with detentes at 1 minute positions.# Bezel Diameter 40mm, Case Thickness 12mm# Screw down crown.# Signed screw down back.# Fold over locking buckle.# Water Resistance 100 meters It is essentially a Submarier style diver but with the Pepsi bezel and Grey face. The hands are unique and are covered with lume which makes them easy to read. The seconds hand is white and has a dab of lume. No numerical reference on the dial, but increments on the raised part of the dial to signify the minutes. There is a day and date reference with the day in English and Spanish. Around the dial you'll see more lume and what I find are exceptionally covered markers. At the 12 o
How is it that most of the time I search a watch in any large search engine in the web sites of "replica", "homage", or just plain fake watches appear before the real sites show up? Is it only this forum which has problems with them?GLF
Hi guys (gals), As you can see I am a first time poster. I come in peace. Not trying to start a war between Ball fans and Breitling fans. I've decided to stop buying a new $250-300 watch every couple of years and take the leap into a more valuable watch. I'm looking for a watch that can be an everyday wear watch but also an evening watch. My price range is $4,000 (+ or - $1000). I'd like a watch that I could pass down to my son one day. I've done a lot of research and looking and think I've narrowed it down to 2 watches. They both are very similar looking (hopefully the links work). My problem is I don't know how they differ "under the hood" and how important the differences are. The 2 watches I am considering are the Ball Ceramic XV and the Breitling Superocean GMT. Hopefully the links work and you can see the exterior similarities and can explain the importance of any internal differences. Any advise or opinions would be greatly appreciated.Superocean GMT - Breitling
Hey all,I¡¯m wondering, is there something special about a Rolex Day Date 18038 with a normal black dial with ¡°stick markers¡±? There¡¯s one going on ebay now which seems to be selling at a premium compared to those in champagne dials. Currently at $6400 bid. The champagne ones are around the 5k mark. Hmm. Am I missing something?
