They certainly provide a lot of useful information and quite good live pictures of new models, providing potential buyers with generally unbiased opinions. The reason I find comparisons more interesting is that if you are curious about a watch, chances are you already might own a similarly priced/specified model from another manufacturer, thus delivering the information on the other watch in a more meaningful context. Recently, the Gerald Genta designed classic Patek Philippe Nautilus watch underwent a modern re-sizing. Up to about 43mm wide, the new size of the classic looking diving reinvigorates the watch's character. I must admit that I was not taken by the Nautilus design when I first viewed it a few years back. It looked too simple, and a bit dated. It is of course a design from the 1970s. The long and thin rounded hands and hour markers felt basic, and the horizontal texturing on the dial was something I wasn't used to. Revisiting the style of the watch a few years after first viewing it, I love it.?? There must be something about looking at 1000s of watch designs and then coming back to something honestly well put together that garners appreciation. I now give credit to Patek Philippe and Gerald Genta for what is a timeless and original look. You might compare the look of the Nautilus to Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak watch. This is no coincidence as they both share Gerald Genta as the designer

Hi,I would like to know whuch watch would you prefer out of this twoRolex Submariner Blue Dial OR Rolex Submariner Black Dial??I guess except the dial color both the watches share same features.

Just arrived: Lord Elgin Horizon Look with the 760 automatic movement
Just got this watch this afternoon. Genejockey informed me it was from their Horizon Look line. The best way to explain it is that the dial and crystal run to and cover over the bezel. In essence the bezel ring isn't there and the dial runs to the case and the crystal covers that and sits flush with the case.The watch is in unbelievably great shape. The dial, hands, and markers are clean and shiny and luckily the crystal only shows a few scratches that I mostly buffed out.The case and lugs are in very good shape and the gold filling is intact. The case back does show some scratching, but at that, very minor.I fitted a Hadley bracelet on it.The movement is Elgins American made 760 automatic with 30 jewels. It has a bph of 18,000 (I think). It winds freely and seems to keep time.The case measures 32mm from 10 o'clock to 4.

Hey guys, how's it going?I saw this happening!...I've been slowly lured into the strap addiction!Just a few snap shots of my new straps, they feel really nice, and are nice a chunky! Somehow I don't think I'm finished yet though...oops!
