While I was minding my own business, trolling through the swamp without any intention of buying anything, a set of lugs caught my eye. The photos were out of focus so I couldn't tell for sure. But, as I read a rather long description, there it was 'Grenadier I', in running condition, a 50's Hamilton model that I have admired for some time. I am more a vintage 20's - 40's kind of guy, but, the 50's are my guilty collecting pleasure. But, since I have been tracking this model, which doesn't come up that often, and hardly ever in my price range, I was intrigued. So, I squinted and tried to discern whatever I could and decided to place a bid and see what happened. I think the blurry photos, taken from a distance that limited any further detail didn't draw much attention or, cause many to read the listing.
