Carl F. Bucherer Manero CentralChrono Watch
I spotted this prototype Carl F. Bucherer watch recently and was immediately taken by it. It combines a sense of retro-sport fashion and the function-mind execution that I have come to expect from the brand. I believe the official name for the watch is the Carl F. Bucherer Manero CentralChrono.In a Manero case, the watch is larger on the wrist being about 44-45mm wide (I would guess) and in steel. You can tell that it is available with an almost slate colored dial or a silvered one. The chunky style case is thick and brushed all around. There are polished elements on the dial for a nice contrast. That includes the nice looking applied arrow-head hour indicators and dauphine hands. Thankfully it is a sport watch so there are lume dots for the hours and lume on the hands. Debri/dust on face of Khaki King; should I be concerned?
Hello everyone,I am new to the WTF as of yesterday; it's wonderful reading all of your posts, thank you!I have had my Khaki King Automatic since November, 2004. I had it serviced once, in 2006. At the time of service, the watchmaker said that the rotor on the watch was bent and they asked me if I had been rough with the watch; I had not, the most I have done with my KK is ride my bicycle, street only, and taken a few showers with it on. I realize showering with a 50m resistant watch was not a good idea and do not do that anymore. Anyhow, they serviced the watch, the rotor spins well now.I noticed a piece of dust/fuzz hanging out on the day/date indicator last year and was slightly stressed about it, but at least it stayed there. I just started wearing the watch again a few weeks ago and now the dust has settled on the face near the #4, and I've also noticed other tiny pieces of debri on the face. It's really driving me mad as I am obsessive about my Hamilton; it's my only one!My

Parallel Universe: The Commoner APs
From my sock drawer come two APs. Sorry, to disappoint, but they are not Royalty. These are humble commoner AP chronographs. I bought them used (dunno how many previous owners) and I don't even know how old they are. I think they are from the early 90s but maybe they are from the 80s. This is not helpful and I promise to post information if I find an AP guidebook.Why do I have 2 almost identical watches? Because they look understated and I like that--I thought they looked kinda stealthy. And my wrist is too small for an ROO. They have platinum cases around 40 mm in diameter. One has a white dial that is not easy to read because the hands are very skinny and sometimes disappear against the white. The other has a gray dial and is not easy to read for the same reason. I discovered after buying them that the stealth part is in trying to tell the time. Nonetheless I enjoyed wearing them--except the center crown dug into my wrist (I can get used to anything--including a tiny divo

.... at Basel 2019 or perhaps 2020. Slimmer lugs, thinner case and new movement please - that would be the cherry on top. I¡¯ve owned 4 maxi case references, including PM, and all of them were flipped at some point PURELY due to how the square case looked on my 7¡± wrist. It always just looked like the watch was wearing me, as opposed to me wearing the watch. And it was frustrating to finally realise it, since they¡¯re all great watches. For now DJ41 and a soon to be added Tudor Blackbay 58 will keep me satisfied. Anyone else wishing for newer Rolex sport watches closer in dimensions to the 5-digit references of yesteryear?
