What do people think about the 39mm explorer I? I am 24 and about to get my first rolex and want something simple, clean and classic. I don't know much about buying second hand but if you are not a fan of the explorer I can you recommend something per-owned for the same or less? I am in England if this makes a difference to availability. Any help is much appreciated and I hope to be able to post a picture of my first soon. ThanksE
Browsing around Rolex's website, I've recently had my eyes on the Day-Date and have a couple questions:Is there a major difference between the models made in the 80's, 90's and 00's?What should you look for in a Pre-Owned?It seems that there are 10 times as many Yellow Gold DD's for sale as there are White Gold, is there a reason for this?Anyone with an DD experience and would like to chime in....Thanks in Advance!

Hi allJust a story I wanted to share, I had a short break in York (UK) and in the hotel I was staying at they had the following book in my room...I was obviously very pleased about that! Turned out the same book is in every room (so it was not special treatment lol). So inside the book it had the name of the local AD and obviously I had to visit wearing my Breitling Colt! They are a lovely bunch and they could see my knowledge and enthusiasm for the brand (I flashed my Patek wallet lol). I told them about the book in the hotel and they obviously knew all about that. I asked if they had a spare copy of the book and they said yes and popped it in a nice bag for me. We carried on talking, I tried on the 5119r and showed pictures of my collection. Then a lady put a box on the table and said we want you to have this. A lovely Patek Philippe tie!! I was overwhelmed, I have bought nothing from them ever. They even invited me to their private party in November where they are going to have some
