Hi everyone, can you please help recognizing this PP, its from 1970 in my knowledge and should be platinum made.thanks a lot in advance!https://dl.dropbox/u/25511044/PP/IMG_0102.jpg
Hey guys, I was digging around in one of the closets and I stumbled upon an old longines that belonged to my parents. I was just wondering if you guys could help me out on the model and just any info on the watch, like what year is it, how much would it go for, etc...
I know that JFK was presented with a Hamilton watch that had his kids' faces on the dial, but I think I read here once that JFK wore a Viewmatic as his daily watch? The Viewmatic is a modern model and I have never seen a photo of JFK wearing a watch other than his Omega at innagauration. Does anyone here know for sure if he really did wear a Hamilton? I'm sure the Hamilton presentation was well regarded but I can't see the President wearing it daily. Thanks for any insight!
I'm trying to narrow down my search for a Hamilton between the X-wind and the Navy GMT currently. This of course seems to change on a daily basis. One feature that I like on the X-wind is that the numerics look to be raised metal or some sort of material that stands off the dial. I was wondering if the numerics on the Navy GMT were a similar setup or if they were "painted" on. I have tried to find representative pictures on the web of the GMT and I think I already know the answer but was wondering if a GMT owner could confirm this for me? I attached a couple of pictures I borrowed from the web to show others what I am talking about.
