Hi all, new member here. After a long decision process I'm after an Omega SMP 2254.50, but they seem to be rare! Does anyone know of one available? Preferably a late model with all papers, boxes etc. I'm based in Manchester, UK.

My Oris impressed me this weekend...
When I took the newly acquired 9937 to my watchmaker to have the bracelet polished, I asked him if he'd slap it on his accuracy tester (not sure of the actual term for it?) to see how it ran. Depending on position, it ranged anywhere from something like -4 to +10 a day. Nothing too horrible I guess.Well, I was wearing my Oris, and asked if he'd test it too. Mind you, I bought the watch new, and it has never been regulated.Crown up, it measured about +3, crown down it was like -4Lying flat, it measured.....dead even.Even my watchmaker commented on how impressive that was, and remarked on the quality of the watch itself.Anyways, just thought I'd share. Way to go Oris.

Hello all.Having just collected my new watch, full of enthusiasm I'm now looking at the internet to get more information as I know nothing about expensive time pieces.My particular watch is a Blanc which appears not to be working.I was told it might need a service.My guess is that the inner workings have become stiff through lack of use.What I would like to do is take the back from the main body of the watch and spray in some peneterating oil to free it all up.Can someone recommend a brand to use.

Hi guysI have received my 1.5 link for the 15202 and the screw inside is impossible to remove. Not sure what AP use to glue the screw but I've tried various ways to heat the damn thing. Anyone else had this issue?Apart from going to the AD, is there any other way to remove the screw?Thanks

Help deciding on which Milgauss
I'm looking to purchase my first Rolex and am drawn to the Milgauss for a variety of reasons even though it is not usually the most popular choice especially as a first Rolex watch. I was fortunate enough that my local AD had both the blue and black dial in stock, so I was able to compare the two. I'm still debating between blue or black dial, but am slightly leaning towards the black dial GV. This is where my question comes in. What are your thoughts on the original style black dial GV with the dual color lume vs. the new style black dial GV with the single color lume. Also, does anyone happen to have seen both and have an opinion on brightness and longevity of each?Finally, I realize that the dual-color lume would require buying second hand as it is no longer made. I'm guessing that since it is pushing 10 years old, it would be due for a servicing immediately upon buying unless I was fortunate enough to find one that just got serviced? Any difference in buying M/V/G/Random serial?
