Invicta 17411 wrist watches news:
Girard-Perregaux¡¯s Tourbillon with Three Bridges has been an icon of classic design for almost 150 years. This year, the brand¡¯s signature timepiece is reborn with a radical new look. Here are 10 things to know about this futuristic masterpiece. 1. The Neo-Tourbillon features a completely redesigned caliber GP09400 that is larger than previous versions.2. The trademark bridges present a sculptural new shape. Fashioned from titanium, they are carved from a solid block of material, then skeletonized. Once shaped, the titanium is sandblasted before receiving a black PVD finish. Titanium is notoriously difficult to machine, and carving the thin arches requires careful attention to prevent deformation during the production process. The bridges span a central valley created by the inclined planes on either side of the mainplate.3. The bridges are truly named, for each spans a valley in the center of the movement created by inclined surfaces on either side. This unique construction create
For those of you who love all of the Hublot content here is an exclusive look at a brand new one for 2012 with a new in-house made movement. This is the Hublot King Power Unico GMT watch. It has a unique way of showing 24 timezones on the dial and looks very slick. The idea is very similar to how the Girard-Perregaux ww.tc works, but just displayed in a very different manner. The four GMT discs move with the main time. Using the little red lines and city names around the bezel and inside of the dial you can tell the time in each of the 24 hour time zones. Neat right? I like the novel approach that combines a little Hublot, a time honored complication, and what feels like some Urwerk inspiration given a dial that looks like the satellite time display on the UR-103 series. The King Power Unico GMT watch will come in a 48mm wide King Power case in either 18k king gold or in black ceramic. Both versions have ceramic bezels. Inside the watch is the Hublot caliber HUB 1220 automatic GMT moveme
Mr Terry Diver's thread on casebacks gave me an idea for a photo thread on favourite casebacks.I'm sure you must have some favourites yourselves. Omega has designed some rather attractive casebacks over time. One caseback per post please pals and let's see what takes your fancy Here's one of mine -Pictures clockwise from top - theoldwatchshop, teelee, watches24seven
Besides the Bulova Oceanographer I got in the mail yesterday, I got a call this morning from an estate sale jeweler who's a customer of mine. She dislikes watches and refers to me, and here's what I picked up this afternoon:I'm not into Gruen or Hamilton and I know she gets those brands often. I'll be sure to post any good deals on the Sales forum for all the fellow vintage buffs. Oh, and something else is a year older today: I'm a prime vintage of 42 years. Getting an incredible piece like this is sure a great present. Tonight is steaks & dark beer on my girlfriend! She gave me my present early - she covered half of my Breitling ChronoCockpit I bought a few weeks ago to avoid the increase. Sweet, huh?
Everybody loves showing of their new pristine time pieces. And everyone savors those ¡°incoming photos¡±, including myself. Well, here¡¯s some pics of what a real world BLNR looks like. I¡¯ve had this for going on 3years and wear it about 70% of the time switching out between my other watches. I manage apartment buildings that I own but am mostly in the office half the day and don¡¯t do much of the hands on maintenance (but not afraid to get my hands dirty). This comes from normal everyday wear and I don¡¯t take it off for any manual labor. This is just a lesson for those new watch owners and what expect with normal watch wear. Wear it, enjoy it. Opinions are like wrist watches...everyone's watch shows a different time from others, but everyone believes that their time is correct.
