Invicta 20503 wrist watches news:
With a total production of four pieces since 1983 I think this will qualify for a Limited edition.Take in consideration that #2 was ripped of the owners neck at a hold up in Paris, France some 10 years ago and is gone, (probably melted down) makes it even rarer.
I wish I would've bought that A-Series!!! The whole article on Hodinkee is pretty good. They also had a 0001 H serial 15400ST for sale. The 5402 sold for 40,000 CHF. catalog.antiquorum/catalo...&auctionid=262.hodinkee/blog/2012/5/...oaks-ever.html
Have had my 5990 for a few days and only just noticed a small flaw at 1100 in the bezel edge at one of the corners which catches at certain light anglesSeems to be the same overpolishing issue that another member had:https://.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=501609&page=2[/URL]It's my first PP and was really expecting perfection. I did inspect with a loupe at my AD but was so carried away with the excitement that I missed this.Am I expecting too much? It would seem some others have this but happy to overlook?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If you were new to Patek Philippe, as I am, and you have the opportunity to acquire one of these beautiful pieces, as I do, which would you choose and why?I understand that this issue has been debated before but please add your views and help to settle my very perplexed mind. Your wisdom and guidance will be appreciated.
I recently posted about my problem with my white metal DD40, which is even now only three weeks old. The change-over at midnight wasn't changing over effectively. Sometimes it switched half an hour late, sometimes more than an hour. And this was on the days when I was actually awake at such ungodly hours. The watch went back to the new UK HQ and service centre in Kent, built on an old wartime airfield and looking like something out of a James Bond film; all brooding smoked glass and concealed doors. Anyway, the problem was apparently that the change-over gears were not properly lubricated. This on a new watch...so even Rolex can get it wrong at times. Can't wait to get it back next week.
