Invicta 1144 wrist watches news:
Hi,I'm new to this forum but I have been longtime a big fan of Hamilton vintage watch ( it doesn't mean I have many Hamilton watch!).I'm curious to know how many of you can clean and service your own watch? I got help from a friend to tried it a couple times and I want to learn more and practice this skill.Where I can get, share tips or this interest for vintage Hamilton? Thanks
Well I've been on the fence about polishing my bronze Helson. It was last polished about 1 year ago, and it's developed a fine looking natural patina over the year. Well, after seeing the new pics of the Lum-Tec bronze in it's polished glory, I decided to wipe the slate clean and polish her up!So, got the strap off and here's how it looks before the clean up. Honestly, I didn't think I'd like the 'old' look, but it grew on me quite fondly. But time to clean it upLathered up in Brass-OPolished up the buckle too. Started off polishing just half of it so it could really show the patina vs. polished comparison.Wow, what a difference! Ok, so after a couple times thru the polish, she's all cleaned up!!Looking good!!And of course a new, just-polished, wrist shot!Ok, so some of you are probably saying "what the hell has he done? Removed that beautiful 1 year old patina?!?!" Well yea, maybe. But it looks just as good polished up, and now I get to watch the patina work its magic all over
Alright well after looking at Rob's thread my excitement for my new arrival was slightly diminished, but I love it none the less. Plus this is a watch that maybe not all of you are aware of.I had the chance of picking up this watch from the designer and founder himself today in San Francisco (Jeff Kuo, a really great guy btw). I was undecided on what color I was going to choose so I got to try a couple on and after going back and fourth a couple of times I landed on the off-white dial of the Tyndall. This watch contains the beautiful elaboree-grade ETA 2895 (as seen in a few B&R and Cartier pieces). I really love the lugless modern design of this watch, very unique and striking in person. Goes well with jeans and a sweater as well as a suit. The details of this watch really sing, from the cork lined strap to the polished rings around the case. You have to see this watch to appreciate it. Along to a few pictures I took (I know I know I need to find a new setting for my pics)The love
Good day GentsSo a few months ago i deliberated over timepieces, i was in the market for something that would mark the crossover from my usual mid-range piece to a high-end piece. I ended up going with the 15202st, which i decided on as being most complete choice at the time. The two options that made it to my final list were 15202ST and Rolex DD40 YG. Guess what, i still seem to have an itch for the DD40.Would you have a look at both pieces on me, and give opinions on everything which in you'd personally consider to be the pros and cons of flipping the 15202 for the DD40.
Hi guys,im not new to the Rolex groups but am to the Omega section... a friend gave me a omega railmaster xxl wind up version for a birthday present about five years ago from a jewelers in London, i've never worn it and never seen one about on my travels.
