When Girard-Perregaux released their 1966 Dual Time in 2014, we applauded their efforts for making a gorgeous, and very wearable, traveler's watch. The only criticism it received was its high price point, dictated by the precious metal it was made in. Two years later, it's back, and we're happy to announce it's being offered in stainless steel, for $10,500.Girard-Perregaux has paired the 40 mm steel case with a clean white dial, an option which was already available with the rose-gold version. It's a very sound decision by all accounts. Repairing Chinese Automatics
Several years ago I discovered Ebay. Long story short, I went on a seemingly high value-for-money spree which has now left me with two watches in need of repair: one is Dodo-Dead and the other loses two hours every minute (seriously!). Not a single UK establishment of any kind will touch them: "unavailability of spare parts" and "not cost-effective" are just two soundbytes I've come to abhor. It's a watch. Probably one gear loose causing all this grief! They refuse to even take a look. What to do everybody? Give in to this punishment for my rash purchases, or is there a way to get them fixedCheers.
