- I was looking forward to getting this HD watch. I was so disappointed when I opened the box. The shine and beauty was not there. I returned this watch. The watch is not pretty and the band looks cheap.

Hello watchtalkforum members,I have the Rotary GB00140/06, I just recieved it yesterday and I'm not sure is the problem with me or with the watch. The manual that came with the watch is for OS20 quartz mechanism. According to it the large second hand shoud be the main chronograph second hand, but that is not the case. The small dail is the chronograph's second hand. The large second hand is like in a normal watch it measures the seconds. Every chronograph watch I look on the internet uses the large second hand for the chronograph function and the small dail second hand for the normal seconds. Is something wrong with the watch? Is there a function that enables the large second hand to be used for the chronograph? Please help me to understand is the watch simply with different mechanism or there is something wrong with it. Is this normal?Thank you in advance!
I am not watch smart yet but I like older watches and I'd like to investigate the purchase of older IWC watches from about 1930 to around 1960.1) Is there a particular IWC model that is generally considered to be the most collectible?2) Is there a collector favorite that has the fortunate combination of style and high quality movement?3) Are there particular years to avoid IWC watches generally?4) and conversely, Are there particular years where a certain model is considered a great buy? Thanks
....what could be in a box this big?More boxes!I've got some props now so I can shoot a few pics for the Longines Forum photo contest. Remember - it ends Sunday night. Have you submitted any pictures yet?
I've long toyed with the idea of owning an Aerospace but was never keen on the older models for various reasons. An opportunity came up recently for a 2007 model and I pulled the trigger. Interesting to reflect on the fact that this timepiece is already 10 years old.As expected, extremely comfortable to wear, balanced and looks nice, despite being a departure from my 34-40mm usual range.A nice value for a watch with interesting pedigree.
