Artya Watches For KISS: With Gene Simmons & More
First I want to say that these watches were sort of commissioned by the members of KISS. Yvan Arpa of Artya was contacted by Gene Simmons who said that he liked his work and wanted to have Artya make special watches for KISS. So Arpa flew out to LA to spend time with the band members, talk watches, and voila! Artya watches uniquely made for KISS (and available as piece unique models for you).I would really like to know more about what Yvan Arpa did with Gene Simmons for a week. I tried to ask him but didn't get much information. Apparently they liked the result. Right now there are three watches. Each are in 47mm wide Artya "deconstructed" cases. The first one features Gene Simmons, then another with Paul Stanley, and the last one has a KISS guitar pick and guitar string in the dial - that were actually used by Paul Stanley. 19 AS winding
After reading about problems with a watch Ulackfocus purchased on Ebay, I thought I'd inquire about some similar problems I've had with a watch purchased from a buyer I've had reason to trust. My All Guard does not seem to wind automatically. I haven't looked at the rotor to see if there is any sign of wear from friction, but have never read anything about this as a problem with that movement. Originally it did not seem to stem wind, but if I wore it, it was fine. Then it stopped while wearing. I sent it for checking and it came back worse. I have read about some automatics (early bumpers) that did not wind sufficiently while wearing, but never anything like this about the 19AS. What kind of reserve should I expect? The seller last said perhaps I don't have enough wrist movement to keep it wound. Since I work in NYC, I know that is not the problem, it get lots of action! Any comment would be appreciated. It came to me "serviced."

She's mine!
For a few weeks... I'm lucky enough to borrow this PAM 616 for a couple weeks, so I thought I would share it here.First impressions: It's such an awesome piece. It wears large at 47mm on my 7.25 in wrist, but its extremely light and very comfortable on the wrist. Its a lot of fun with a ton of character. A couple hours in and I already want one! Too bad she is it out of my budget. Maybe I'll just never give this one back Sorry for the crappy iPhone wrist shot. I didn't feel like setting up the DSLR for my wife haha
